As soon as we dropped off our bags at the hotel, we headed to Drop Coffee. Very cosy spot, chill vibe, friendly staff, and pretty good coffee. Would definitely recommend a visit if you're in the neighborhood.

We went out of our way to experience this coffee shop based on the good reviews from fellow travellers. However, I was very disappointed with the visit. Yes, the coffee is good (as is the drinking chocolate that my grand children had) but you would have to be a real connoisseur to consider that drinking a good cup of coffee... More

Best coffee in Stockholm in my opinion. We had a two cup brewed coffee which was excellent and enough for 2 people- just ask for a second cup. We also tried a double espresso which was very good and fruity. If you like dark roast bitter espresso, this will either repulse you or save you! The cappuccino and hot chocolate... More

Loved this quaint little cafe - they serve some of the best coffee in Stockholm. All roasted on site. Their menu is simple but efficient and their baristas are well trained and speak the specialty coffee 'language' well. Very helpful staff and very tasty coffee. Has to be on your visit list while in Stockholm

Definitely a coffee place. Not much to eat, very minimalistic interior, very good coffee. Standard size coffee was enough for two.

I'm not a coffee connoisseur, or a hipster, but we thought we would give this place a go based on the reputation. The coffee itself was really good, you can definitely taste the difference. The shop itself wasn't anything to write home about though and seemed to be full of people tapping away on laptops and ignoring each other, so... More

I was very impressed by the taste and minimalist decoration at this location, on a recent visit to Stockholm. Although I felt that there could be more of a vibe to the place. It felt like we just went for coffee here, and didn't feel the need to stay much longer. The quality of the coffee was high, but I... More

Drop coffee has great coffee and delicious treats in their cabinet. Coffee is very smooth and they seem to have a big local following. They also have wifi and a toilet and are next to a metro station.

We traipsed the length of Sodermalm on the basis of Drop's reputation. Fair enough to be warned that they were closing in 15 minutes. But no excuse for tepid coffee. No excuse for chilly attitude. Only just mediocre coffee as far as taste went.

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
