Prinsen was recommended by a discerning local. It's a quality, class act with the best Swedish meatballs in town. Trust me, I tried them everywhere. I don't know what they do to those pickled cucumbers, but I sure do wish I could replicate them. If I could only choose two restaurants in Stockholm, this would be one of them.

Great way to close our trip in Stockholm. We went there because suggested by our hotel - great quality - right ratio cost/quality - we tried excellent harrings, beaf fillet, duck breast, shrimp salad, and chocolate dessert - excellent service from a French guy ( unfortunately I don't remember his name)

Classic bistro with heritage. The food is Swedish with bistro influences is great and rustic. I recommend the classic Biff Rydberg and the Meatballs. The service all the way from the doorman to the waiters have been there forever and provide the old school high level of service.

All the dishes we had were fantastically presented and full of flavour. They could not be faulted. Service was impeccable. The only reason for not having a 5 star review is that the wine was a let down.

We had reservations at Prinsen this evening but the police understandably told all the businesses in the area to close. Our hotel was inside the police cordon and our six-year-old twins were hungry so the guys at Prinsen gave us a meatball takeaway for them and refused to take any payment. Outstanding. Thank you to all the staff involved. The... More

Great service, tasty authentic food, in a business (but cozy) setting. Swedish meatballs are among the best I had. Would go back again when in town.

I visited this place for lunch in April together with my girlfriend and we enjoyed the herring starter and a main course each. I had the classic meatballs with mashed potatoes and pickled cucumber. My girlfriend ordered minced veal. The dishes were served by a very nice waitress and we didn't wait for long. We liked what we got served... More

This restaurant was very good and accommodating towards us as we do not speak Swedish. Of course we got Swedish meatballs and they were amazing.....I highly recommend this place!

Fantastic all round experience! One of the best meals I've had in a long time. I had the Beef Tartare and Swedish Meatballs. The bread was so good that my boyfriend was trying to persuade me to smuggle the rest out! Great for traditional Swedish cuisine.

We had our 3 year old and 1 year old boys and they were very accommodating. Service was top notch. Filet was cooked perfectly and the Swedish meatballs are the best! If you're looking for a nice place to eat that serves traditional Swedish food, this is your place. Expect $30-$40 per meal and reservations are recommended
