Stinsen is like the local Pub in the Fatburen area in Södermalm. It's family owned and the staff seem to know most of the guests which are mostly regulars. There is a menu which for being a pub style restaurant is quite good. Not a very big selection of beer on tap but Stinsen have the ales and lagers I... More

I met the friendliest most lovely staff here and it is by far one of my favourite bars in Stockholm. They do amazing food and drinks and have a really lovely atmosphere.

I went for a dinner. I chose a dish plate and a frozen cheese cake. Everything was really good. The service was perfect. I recommend this nice restaurant.

That's a very nice , pub style place. The menu is really good, as well, as service. The waiters are really friendly. The food is not fine dining of course, but good quality home style food. The prices are good for Stockholm. In case you are fancy for a simple dinner in a friendly environment, this is the place to... More

It's like a British pub. Locals meet there and eat traditional home cooking at reasonable prices, or just have a beer together. It's right next to the district train (SL) station Stockholms Södra (one stop from the central station) and the name "Glada Stinsen" means "the happy stationmaster".

I have just had dinner at this restaurant after reading some reviews on here and was a very satisfied customer! It looks more like a pub from the outside so we weren't sure what to expect but the welcome was friendly and the decor was quaint, like a pub but very warm and cosy. We struggled initially because the menu... More

We chose this place due to its proximity to Stockholm Sodra (right next to the Rosenlundsgatan entrance) and hence to our hotel in Alvsjo. I had a very generous and perfectly cooked sea bass with a creamy prawn sauce and potatoes, and my husband a huge, perfectly cooked fillet steak with rosti potatoes. Both came with garlic bread, salad and... More

The place is next to the Rosenlunds Entrance of Södra Station. They have a bar and a big restaurant, but you should make a reservation because it can be quite crowded. The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere due to the need train station theme decoration. The service was quick and there is a good selection of local and international beers.... More

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
