We were able to get a table without a reservation on a Saturday night and we were so grateful for it. The restaurant is charming and the server was terrific. Other than the nasty glares of the 2 local guys sitting next to us as if we didn't belong in their neighborhood, we loved everything about this place and would... More

Easy menu on a blackboard. Fresh fish, good hamburger and Swedish comfort food. Good wine list. Seating outside in the summer and a very popular place to hang out.

You'll maybe want to try getting a reservation, once we went and once we couldn't get in. One fine vegetarian meal which was great considering it is a BISTRO. Very nice staff. Amazing wine list. Good, good food.

An excellent bistro with good food and good service. A small restaurant and it's almost crowded everyday. Best to book in advance. Moderate prices but a bit noisy.

We ate here on a Monday night. It was busy but we managed to get a table. We had the pork for main course which was very tasty. About 250 sek. There were other mains that were cheaper. Service was efficient and pleasant. They were helpful in explaining things in English and allowed us to taste a few wines before... More

First of all, reading some of the other reviews,I have no complaints about the staff. Right, now for the food. We went there on a sunny Saturday afternoon and sat outside.they were doing a special with a grill master form a sausage maker called taylor & jones.one of the items on offer was a seafood "sausage" (note the quotes). This... More

Went there by recommendation of our hotel. Food was ok, but not special. Service was divided, partly friendly but the other part not really at all. I think there are better choices in Stockholm!

On a Tuesday evening when the alternatives either had closed or were full. Nice offerings on the menu and we were surrounded by famous Swedish musicians and comedians... seems to be their preferred place. Good wine selection, and reasonably priced to boot. A pleasant experience all in all.

The restaurant was recommended by the hotel staff. The pork shoulder was delicious, but the char was average, quite plain . My son had a burger, no complaints there. The restaurant was full, therefore service was slow. The waitress looked stressed, but the waiter tried his best to serve us. Altogether was an average experience.

Food we ordered was good but menu was very limited. My husband ordered the veal and I ordered pasta with the famous yellow mushrooms. Both dishes were good. We finished off with Cloud Berries with cream and white chocolate. We ordered this based on the advice of our waiter and it was very good. I would recommend Sud if you... More

Staying in Mariatorget

Neighbourhood Profile
This rather quiet neighborhood revolves around a postcard-like park with a dramatic fountain in its center and is definitely one of Stockholm’s showcase neighborhoods. Mariatorget, a central residential area, is the best Stockholm has to offer when it comes to juxtaposing architectural masterpieces with sophisticated art galleries, coffee shops and bars. Stockholmers love to spend their weekends in the park or one of the nearby coffee shops, so come to Mariatorget to meet the locals. The northern part of Mariatorget boasts historic buildings, beautiful cobblestone streets, and one of Stockholm’s best observation decks, Monteliusvägen, from where you can see an amazing view of the city hall and Stockholm’s old town.
