This was my favorite pub in södermalm. Small and cozy. Great choice of beers and very good music. 70 kr for a draft ipa and it was very good.

This part of Stockholm is called Sofo, which stands for "South of Folkungagatan". This gradually gentrified area is now where hipsters and other "alternative" people blend with an increasing number of young people in media, advertisment etcetera. And this is a place for them. Rustic interior and food, tattooed and pierced staff, cool music and many regulars. If you feel... More

Snottys is fantastic fun. It's a small bar that was very busy on Saturday but well worth it if you can get in. The walls are covered with indie music albums and the music in the bar matches this. There is a good selection of beers and also a few cocktails and everyone in there was very friendly. A must... More

It is one of my regular places in Stockholm! It is small but the ambiance, music and wine are good for a decent price. I am surprised to see negative reviews because it is rather popular with the locals and has a good reputation.

As the bar was preparing to close up on a Friday night, I arrived with my friend to drink a quick beer. The female staff member didn't allow us in, saying "You're too late" without even looking at our faces. And when my friend said "We walked a long way up here for this place, can I at least use... Way to small and loud volume of the music! Don't understand why people like this place!

I have only been eating there once but it was good food, and in general a nice place to hide with a beer for a while.

Staying in SoFo & Medborgarplatsen

Neighbourhood Profile
SoFo & Medborgarplatsen
Throughout the last decades these neighborhoods transformed from a rather quiet residential area into the birthplace of Swedish hipsterism and became Sweden’s main hub for new fashion labels, independent coffee shops and innovative gastropub concepts. Despite their extreme transformation, SoFo (South of Folkungagatan) & Medborgarplatsen managed to hold on to their residential charm and quietness and became one of the most sought-after places to live among young people in Stockholm. This neighborhood is also home to Sweden’s highest student hall, Skrapan, which used to be the head office of the tax authorities and now combines a mix of student hall and shopping mall with a bar on top.
