We have been here before and in lack of initiative I ordered the same as last time- veal schnitzel. Last time the potato was not cooked but this time no problem but for my taste to much sauce. To this we had red wine and I had a beer.

I found out about Dalanisse on Trip Advisor. My expectations were high, yet they were exceeded. Excellent food (We had the tenderloin and fish stew and cheese cake), generous portions, very pleasant and attentive staff and a calm atmosphere. The interior was nice/average, didn’t have a touch of “elite” but I’ve eaten at many “elite” places where the food &... More

This is a little local place in Vasastan/Birkastan in Stockholm with decent prices. The service is very friendly comparing to the more touristic spots in town and their menu is quite small which often means it's good quality since they know what they are doing. Their Lamb and Schnitzel were really nice, I guess the lamb was the big winner... More

It seems that since 01 January 2016, DalaNisse no longer opens on Sundays, except for special occasions, such as last evening being St Valentine's Day. A member of staff blamed diminishing numbers on the decision to close and it will be a loss to the Sunday evening diners of the city. Last evening's meal was quite ok. Service, and food... More

The place is relatively small and cute, located on a side street in Vasastan/Birkastan. The menu has a good selection of foods leaning toward a Swedish/Mediterranean kitchen in their offerings. Food is well prepared and presented by a very attentive serving staff. Given the size of the restaurant it's suggested to have reservations.

I love this restaurant! The place is cute and the service is excellent. The food prices are below average and it is very very good. I would highly recommend it but I would call to book a table before the visit.

Thank Marliina

Staying in Vasastan

Neighbourhood Profile
Vasastan is one of those neighborhoods that almost looks too good to be true. It has the winning combination of a central location, tranquility, and beautiful buildings – housing sophisticated bars and eateries – that makes this neighborhood Stockholm’s most sought-after place to live. If walking through this area makes you feel like walking through a fairy tale or picture book it’s no surprise, as it’s actually the film set of the famous Swedish children story Karlsson-on-the-Roof. No matter what season, Vasastan manages to impress in the sunshine, covered in snow and won’t even lose its charm when soaked in rain.
