Ayakos serves really great sushi. By now we've had them many times. Their yakiniku and teriyaki are also pretty good. However, their menu also has some low points, e.g. the seafood/seeweed salad which is a plain bore, and the dishes with fried chicken and fried prawns where more or less tasteless.

Good food and service. Nice environment. Sushi bites are rather small, but good anyway. My table was not clean, it was sticky. The tonkatsu and tempura vegetables could have had a bit more salt and flavor. The pickled vegetables were a very nice complement.

I can hardly imagine which kind of sushi the enthusiasts of this place may have experienced before. My sashimi had little variety and no taste, the only exception being salmon, which was distinctly fresh. Vegetable tempura would have been OK if it was not for the faint but distinct smell of fish coming from being fried in a one-oil-fits-all pan.... More

No other sushi beats this. High quality, excellent taste, lots to choose between, fair prices and very friendly staff.

I have been to Ayakos Sushi perhaps once every month for the last 4 years and never have I been disappointed with either the food or the service! The waiters and waitresses are always nice and helpful! :) It's not the cheapest place to eat at, but considering the quality of the food it's not that expensive! Something I really... More

We, me and my son, called the restaurant and booked Tapanyaki for two. We arrived one hour later to be told that the new waitress had misunderstood the fact that Tepanyaki needs to be booked 24 hours in advance. So, what to do? We were offered a beer and sushi as a compensation and stayed on for a main course... More

A great restaurant about 10 minutes walk from the centre. The sushis were excellent and the restaurant has a nice setting and atmosphere. A great choice.

This place has better sushi and sashimi than any other Japanese in Uppsala. The tempura is fine too. It is the only restaurant that I know of with a good Yaki niku Service is very good most of the time. Friday nights are very busy. The menu lacks ramen and other noodle dishes, but Japanese noodles are hard to find... More

This place is slightly off the beaten track (although nothing is far from anything in Uppsala) but well worth a short walk if you want really good Japanese food. It offers several different combinations of sushi and a series of main meals, including bento boxes. They also offer sake, Japanese beer and green tea. The food and service were both... More

Nice setting, a Japanese feel to the interior. Good sushi, though with a soya that seems to not be house-made. You'll have a nice evening at Ayako's.
