I had dinner at Sjöbaren Haga on Sunday night evening. If you want to eat fish on a Sunday or a Monday in Gothenburg, its not easy to find a decent restaurant that is open. Sjöbaren is however always open. Its a small and relaxed place with very friendly staff and very good fish dishes. The tables ave very close... More

Visited last Monday. Had lunch consisting of fillet (or really fantastic loin) of cod, gently fried and served with browned butter, horseradish, peas, rootbeets and potatoes. Absolutely great!! Would love to come back in the evening. For lunch, there were approx 5 or 6 choices. Cosy atmosphere and very swift and friendly service!

I dined here just for the fish gratin as it looked so nice on the reviews that I had to taste it for myself and I was not disappointed. The restaurant is on the main street In Haga so you will definitely pass it, if you are in the area, a great choice. The gratin was cooked perfectly, the fish... More

Invited with a colleague as guests of a supplier rep who lived locally and knew his home restaurants very well in my opinion. The Langoustines starter was great finger food, followed by an excellent sole fish with tasty accompaniments. Good company, great food and friendly service, what more do you need?

I really recommend this typical restaurant. If you visit Gotenborg, must eat in district haga. The staff is really helpful to translate the menu. The only thing is they don't have physical proper paper version. I took the fish soup first, simply one of the best I have eaten so far, loads pieces of fish inside. I would have eaten... More

The lunch card is small and good. I had fish with potatoes and vegetable. Perfekt for 110 Sk and a free Coke (!?). Very friendly staff that also translated the menue for ne. Worth to go!

Intimate and cosy restaurant in Haga, a quaint part of Göteborg with a lot of well-preserved wooden houses in a part of the city that was Göteborg's first suburb. Only fish and seafood dishes on the menu, but absolutely worth the visit and value for the money compared to some of the more high-class restaurants in the city with the... More

As a local this is one of my favourite restaurants in Göteborg. You go hear for seafood and why not try the fish gratin and ask the waiter to surprise you with a nice wine or beer. The food menu and drinks list are both focused on fewer alternatives to make sure they are all very good. Service and atmosphere... More

I read already a lot good things about this restaurant and I must confirm that it's all right. Phantastic Food, very friendly service and nice location. Especially the fish soup is the best I ever had. I can only recommend this beautiful small place. It is surely not the cheapest one but it is definitely worth it. Spend some nice... More

This is not an elegant restaurant - rather countryside style with pleasant home-feeling. Good food and friendly staff.
