This was an exciting little find in Helsinki. Stumbled across it but really enjoyed our coffee and cake. Very interesting architecture and obviously very popular with the locals for a cheap lunch smorgasbord. Very helpful staff and great food.

Centrally located by the market place (and next to the tourist info) this stunning art deco cafe is well worth the visit. Excellent cakes and coffee and very friendly service.

This place doesn't give any clues from the outside to its fantastic interior. We only had a coffee and hot chocolate, both were very nice and the food looked good.

If you like cafeteria style restaurants with lots of sushi, this may be a good place to eat. Not knowing exactly how everything worked, I asked some of the staff and they were less than helpful. We opted for coffee and cake which was almost okay, not great and somewhat stale. Bottom line, go somewhere else!

Aschan Cafe Jugend is located near the market square, at the heart of the administrative centre of Helsinki city. Restaurant space is beautiful and suitable for families and even small kids. I ordered sushi lunch buffe (15 euros) which was tasty and fresh. I recommend!

Been in Helsinki for 2days and this is our second visit. Brilliant architecture 1928 interior built inside a 19C shell. Good coffee reasonable priced beer ( a rarity in Finland). Had some Japanese ice cream for the first time. No musak so great atmosphere .

I felt like some Sushi. The place is beautiful art Deco. Unfortunately they had run out of rice. We paid €15.00 and waited for 30 minutes. They could not keep up with the demand and the very limited selection kept running out. At 14:00 they closed the sushi section without even informing us. We will not return here. Not recommended.

Look at the architecture of this cafe and enjoy. There is a special atmosphere that you can feel. Its calm and cool, but still friendly as old cafes usually have. Take your time and have a coffee and something with it. As usually in Finland the service was a little clumsy and cool, but alright.

Lovely art Nouveau architecture, The food was a bit pricey, HOWEVER: service terrible. Our serving person was quite insulting and it became apparent that she didn't really want to 'do' anything, or in fact have any people in her cafe. So at that point we decided to oblige her and leave. I would not return.
