This Japanese restaurant is in the city centre and easy to find. The service is really nice and the food is really good. Moreover, the price is fair. I recommend if for anyone who's looking for a nice place for lunch or dinner.

DOMO is not cheap, but it is authentic and tasty. The amount for lunch is not enough for normal person, especially guys. The restaurant owner can speak several languages (English, Finnish, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, etc.. ) I need to ask how he learns them so well.

We visited Domo at lunchtime. Prawn-vegetable tempura with rice was good. Quite pricey and small portion. Tasteless miso soup. Little bit "funny and odd" service.

Right by the centre of Helsinki is Japanese restaurant called Domo. Small, cosy, very Japanese place with friendly staff. They seemed to speak English only. We have four different starters and two Miso soups with pork and mushrooms. Great dishes all of them and served in very classy form. Will come here again.

Two of us had a plate of sushi & sashimi (30 pieces) and it was different from your average sushi&sashimi set. Sashimi portions were very small, but very tasty at the same time. Sushi part of the plate had some new flavours and new unrecognised vegetables in the mix. It was definitely not bad, but different. The place is nice... More

If you are looking for fine dining , this is not it. A neighbourhood casual Japanese style dining run by some extremely friendly Chinese. The soya source has a fantastic smell. You should ask about their soya source and you will break a lot of ice. Go for simple dishes and you would go away happy.

Living in the neighborhood, Domo is the place to go when looking for good quality Japanese food and value for money. Maybe not the most romantic choice, but clean and tidy with pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Recommended for casual lunch or dinner and sushi.

I took one of their best set of sashimi (30 pieces) and miso soup. I didn't like it a lot but it had tuna in it which is rare in Helsinki. Service was quite nice.
