Had an amazing birthday dinner here: lovely food and really good and attentive service. The decor of the place is somewhat kitschy, though fun - but don't let that bother you: the food is divine and the atmosphere friendly and warm.

Authentic Turkish food, good portion sizes. The service was good, very friendly. Bellydancers were a nice surprise, especially for the men!

We are both big fans of Turkish kitchen and thus decided to visit this restaurant while in Helsinki. Was not disappointed. The decoration of the restaurant is different and service is excellent. Food was beyond my expectations; real authentic Turkish flavors. We took the meze plate as starter which was perfect and as mains two different kind of köftes. Both... More

This icon of ethnic restaurants still stands up pretty well against the more complex modern day fashion restaurants with its simple and timeless concept. Food is good, pricing in place and interior decoration works with the theme. Service could do with an update...

My first visit to Atabar was almost 20 years ago and I'm still going back time to time. Dining here is always a pleasure. The food is tasty and service is good. Also the interior needs to mentioned. I've been eating here with friends, family and my wife. The place works nicely for different occasions and for different purposes. The... More

We visited the restaurant during a rainy day and we were the only customers. Food was great and it tasted very authentic. We tasted several vegetarian options, like fainted imam and "Osmanian pot", but the winner was meze plate with its tasty hummus, Turkish peppers sauce and great freshly baked bread.

I went to Antiokia Atabar almost totally by accident. I happened to be around, because I had business with a local Mac store, and I did a search on Google Maps for restaurants nearby, Antiokia appeared on map with fairly good reviews. When I entered the restaurant before 5pm it was about empty, so I got very quick service. I... More

This is one of the upper scale Turkish restaurants. No pizza/kebab place, but a real restaurant with a genuine Turkish menu. The food is tasty and portions are generous.

Great traditional Turkish restaurant in Helsinki. Lot's of gluten free alternatives and those which we tried were excellent (and not contamined). The best gluten free kebab (so far) in Helsinki. Only minus comes from the never arrived gluten free bread. Anyway, if you are looking for casual gf dinner place, this is a great option.
