The cafe has a good location. We visited several times while in Helsinki. The food quality was great, and the service was friendly but efficient. They roast their own coffee (downstairs) so the lattes we had were really good, with a tasty rich coffee base. The breakfast special of freshly squeezed orange juice, a choice of coffees and a basket... More

When I saw in a newspaper an article telling about this particular pastry which was inspired from the photo of Lennu, the dog of president Niinistö and his wife Jenni Haukio I just had to arrange time to taste this fancy cake. I was positively surprised, it was not too sweet and it didn't have buttercream or whipped cream inside.... More

The pastries and coffee in this place are very good but expensive. You have to pay like 5€ for a cinnamon bun. Also the chairs, tables and the cutlery are a bit scratchy and outdated.

Cafe Esplanade looks very fancy by the first look but actually this place is definitely in need of some renovation. Dining hall is very outdated and not in good condition. Coffee is overpriced and pastry too, though there is a large selection of products. Not worth of queuing! In overall, there are nicer (and cheaper) coffee shops in Helsinki.

This cafe has a prime location on the posh street of Esplanade in the heart of Helsinki. Cafe Esplanad is very popular which makes it slightly unruly. People rushing here and there. However, they serve the biggest bakeries in town. The coffee is good and the bakeries delicious. In spring and summer it is lovely to sit outdoors, sip cappuccino... More

Nice cakes, nice coffee but then you'd expect them to be for €19 for two people. Lots of choices and quick service make this a place to choose over the Starbucks down the road.

We visited here 3 times for lunch and coffees, and the bakery/ patiserie products. A bit expensive for the cakes but truly delicious and coffee was the best we had all holiday with free refills and water.

A cozy cafe literally in the middle of the city. Has a wide range of sweet and salty snacks and dishes. Definitely the best traditional Finnish buns (korvapuusti). In the summer you can enjoy the outside seating, other times you can enjoy the warmth of the cafe inside.

Easy to find on Pohjoiseplanadi Strasse. Lot of extra tables in the back. Several choices of coffee....all fine. Pastries were great. You should note that even at 2 or 3 in the afternoon, they have a lot of people showing up. Great place for atmosphere.

Thank pepsionice
