This place is phenomenal. I think they should open another restaurant in Tana. We were driving by the first time I went here and I actually couldn't eat that day (nothing to do with this restaurant -- I was sick beforehand and then the long drive in the car made it worse.) I had heard that it was so good... More

we had traveled half a day on a rough road and a ferry when we got there for a lunch stop. Looking at the building we thought at best we would get vegetables and rice. Wow were we surprised......The quality of food, presentation and service was way beyond our expectation. The selection of dessert was mouth watering. Whoever thought about... More

In this small place I didn't expect this quality. Every plate is a picture. And of superbe taste. For everyone there is enough choice. I enjoyed it very much.

In the middle of absolutely no where... In a place you can not get to without hours of driving and then riding a rudimentary "ferry", an absolutely five star restaurant with the best food in Madagascar....Totally amazing

It is really rare that a very positive description in a guidebook is topped. We ate at Mad Zebu twice (on the way to and back from the Tsingy) and both were excellent experiences. The Zebu in red wine sauce might have been the best meat I have ever eaten. It was incredible. The staff is friendly and service quick.... More

Yes, Richard Adams, the Hitchhiker CAN find a restaurant at the end of the universe and it's in Belo Tsiribihina, a remote town on the west coast of Madagascar. The experience of Mad Zebu ('Mad' for 'Madagascar' and 'Zebu' for the traditional breed of cattle herded by the Malagasy) is like no other - after a long, a bone-jarring dirt... More

We stopped here for a very early lunch and the restaurant was very accommodating. There was no indication in the decor or the location that would lead you to expect getting some of the best food in Madagascar. The food was delicious and so attractively presented. I am not sure how they can serve such amazing food when they are... More

Other tourist recommended the Mad Zebu to us and we were delighted. Not only does is taste very good but the food looks amazing too. Best stop for an long lunch or cosy diner. They have a 'real' toilet wich is nice.
