Good value and excellent service. Nothing is too much trouble. I use the place often and have never had a bad experience.

This is a family joint for locals - not fine dining, but the food is yummy - the lobster soup in particular - and the pizza is good and they have lots of options for veggie/vegan or other dietary restrictions. Always busy, very noisy, and just enough outside downtown that it is really mostly locals.

As with most restaurants in foreign countries, I took to the reviews on Trip Advisor to help me out. I was a little worried by the fact that half the reviews I read were good while the other half were not, but decided to give it the benefit of the doubt anyway. Let me just say... I should've listened to... More

A few of us went for a birthday dinner, the staff was great and saved the night. Neither me or my brother did like the ribs, they tasted bad. My wife's chicken was dry along with other chicken course my sister in law had. It sounded like the fish courses were the best, "plokkfiskur" and salted cod were given appraisal.... More

Today we had lunch in this restaurant! Previously we just had light lunch or very simple lunch in different restaurants of our 11 days trip in lceland! A chicken fajitas, beef fajitas and baby ribs were ordered! All were so good in taste! As to the fajitas, the portion was big for 2 persons! The price was rather reasonable! U... More

Loved this place! The food was served piping hot and prompt. Top it all off,it was lip smacking food, with the exception that it maybe a little too salty for some. Tried their hot wings, mushroom soup and pizza ! Portion is really generous, so I would recommend to order sharing portions.

Five of us, two teenagers, one mum, one dad, and one grandfather. Everyone very happy with their food; three different types of burgers, beef, and chicken fajitas. The beef was cocked as requested and tasted fantastic. The burgers are 120g and come with a small to medium serve of chips. Teenagers could eat more than the burger serve. The chicken... More

This place had it all, until new owners came in and made the dishes more expensive and less quantity. Their pizza was something that made people go for a weekend trip to Akureyri from Reykjavik, which is a four hour drive, but today it's just ... mehh! Don't get me wrong, it's good - but not as unique like it... More

Horrible food quality and high prices. When you are vegan or vegetarian then you get semi cold overcooked pasta with watery and tasteless tomato pasta and frozen veggies that are still frozen. Omnivores food isn't anything to look for either. Pizzas look ok, but with those prices you get better quality at Domino's.

This is a great place for dinner. It was far enough off the tourist track and large enough that there was no wait. The cheese bread and olive tapenade that comes with the langoustine soup were probably the two best things we've had. I'm not even a fan of olives and I ate it all. The cowboy pizza was, however,... Greifinn is without doubt one of the most popular restaurant in Akureyri . The menu is varied and the prices are moderate. Greifinn is ideal for individuals, groups and families that want to relax over food and drink. We make a point of running a family-friendly restaurant.

A diverse menu is on offer with a wide choice of meat and fish courses as well as pasta and some of the most highly praised pizzas in Iceland.
