Cozy family owned restaurant offering steaks, seafood, pizza, pasta or burgers made with passion. Our food is not off the shelf, but homemade from scratch. We offer typical icelandic dishes like lamb and cod or catfish in a fresh, modern style. In the summer time it is great to sit outside in our plaza and enjoy delicious food, snacks and cocktails. Housed in one of the oldest buildings in Husavik and in the city centre you can't miss us.
Went today after whale watching. It was around 12.30pm. As soon as we entered restaurant, blonde chubby waitress pointed on us as shouted very loud: excuse me what do you want?
I wouldn't recommend or visit this restaurant. Customer service is non existing. We went...somewhere else and I would recommend this everyone else.
Food may be nice but staff is lacking basic manners and for that reason this establishment won't get our money.More
We managed to get a table on a walk in. Took a bit of time for the service to get going but friendly once it did. I was forced to order a pizza (which I never eat in the U.K.) as nothing else took my...fancy. Again I was staggered as to how little fish is available given the location. Pizza was ok.
Not a bad little room to eat in.
There was a chocolate cake with hideous squirty cream so I asked if I could have it with a blob of vanilla ice cream instead. I was informed that would charged as two desserts. I didn’t bother with either. Waitress didn’t seem to care and just took the menu off me. Wow.More
I ordered a 16" pizza planning to take the rest back to the hotel for late night indulgence and my wife ordered the Wok chicken even though she does'nt like rice.
The pizza never made it back to the hotel, it was so good, and...I have never seen my wife eat so much rice.
Not surprisingly our night is over, we are in bed at the hotel literally rolling over we are so full, but happy and totally content, going back again tomorrow.
The staff was young and energetic, service was fast and attentive, and our waitress was quick and witty, spoke english and understood Icelandic, loved her!
Totally recommend 😍More
I don't normally eat at restaurants that offer pizza besides other dishes. It normally means they specialize in neither. So I didn't try the pizza but my fish soup was not bad. My friend liked his cat-fish in the oven. So it's nota a bad place...after all but it was crowded in spite of Corona, and you had the impression it caters for the masses.
The service was OK but understandably slow. Average place.More
We had a visit at Salka restaurant last night. The restaurant’s kitchen closes at 21:00 and we were running late. The restaurants owner accepted us with open arms, group of 8 people. We did not feel rushed or uncomfotable, after the meal at almost 22:00...we were offered dessert and coffee. We experienced wonderful service, that many restaurants could use as a great example. Thank you for our memorable experience at your restaurant!More

Yes we do. There is a Tofu dish and we make vegetable patties which are served with rice and different sorts of vegetables. Then there are different soups, depending on the daily offer like vegan tomato soup or mushroom soup.
