During our recent visit to Keflavik, Iceland, as travelers from Ireland spending our last night before an early morning flight home, we wanted a spot that captured the essence of Icelandic warmth and charm. Cafe Petite turned out to be the perfect choice.
Nestled in Keflavik, this cozy café provided the ideal setting to unwind after a week exploring the stunning landscapes of Iceland. We enjoyed a casual coffee and a slice of rich chocolate cake, both of which were delightful. What made our visit truly special, however, was the friendly and welcoming hospitality of the owner, Agust. His genuine warmth added a personal touch that made us feel right at home and offered a glimpse into the local culture.
If you’re looking for a relaxed, local experience in Keflavik where you can enjoy great coffee and chocolate cake or your favorite drink while being treated with true Icelandic hospitality, Cafe Petite is a must-visit.

The "Cafe Petite" is in a backyard and looks not very inviting at the first moment.
Although it was very nice here. The decoration is very interesting (old Maps on the wall), otherwise the Bar ist very cozy.
The pricing was reasonable and there are nearly only Locals here.
When you want to see how Icelanders are making party, this is the right spot for you!

Perfect if looking for something a bit more interesting in downtown Keflavik. Nice atmosphere with lots of pictures and photos on the walls. The Pink Floyd poster brought back some great memories. Ideal place to chill out, sadly my latte wasn’t great. Music interesting was expecting more Kurt Cobain, Joy Division and Indie, even Bjork, but Kanye Wests Golddigger always brings a smile.

On weekends it is a busy pub with lots of locals. There is a large variety of beer and 3 billard tables. No food served. The Tuborg there, however, should be avoided, even though it´s the cheapest beer for "only" 5 Euro. It tastes terrible.
The personal - which is also from other countries - unfortunately seems not too interested in the (foreign) customer. The billard tables seem to be only occupied by locals. Every single consumption has to be paid immediately, which is not very customer-friendly.
All in all, a nice location with a lot more potential.

With a hire car and time to kill before our flight, we found this cafe/ bar that’s less than 10 mins from the airport.
Quirky, cosy and friendly.
Petite from the outside but pretty big once you go in. Pool tables, dart boards and boards games to help yourself to.
You could imagine it being a cool bikers bar but I’m not sure there are many bikers in Iceland …well, not in January anyway.
Great for a coffee or one last Icelandic beer.

What a Find! A lovely cafe / bar. Great atmosphere with great coffee (and I suspect beer!). Don’t do food other than crisps and some cakes (had planned to but Covid….). We stayed and had a few coffees and played a few games of cards. Other people were also playing cards, playing chess and pool, others having a drink. The owner seems like a lovely guy, extremely welcoming and just nice.
Will definitely return should I be in the area.

We stopped there before going to the airport for coffee. It turned out to be a great place, with nice inside and billiards. Very kind personnel, nice coffee and hot chocolate :) It was worth to drive to Keflavik just for that visit!

Was in town attending a conference and kept seeing this place...all the time wondering what was going on there. Each time I passed by during the day I kept seeing a young man doing work to the building...repairing this, climbing on that...constantly making improvements. I decided to stop in and was floored! The owners (either Gus or Katherine...English wording) were sooooo super awesome. They were very gracious and always quick to chat you up about whatever. Their knowledge of local beer and local flavor was unprecedented. Additionally, the work they've done to both the inside and outside gives the place a really cool vibe and I longed to stop in every night I was there. Not gonna lie, I'm going back a few more times over the coming months and I CANNOT wait to stroll right back through the front door. Really awesome place to hang!

This is very lovely place, unfortunately the only decent one to hang out with friends in Keflavik. Prices are affordable, snacks tasty, beer also very nice and very nice vibes :)

We were there on a Wednesday after a successful concert, and we were greeted by this wonderful woman working there who introduced me to the 1ltr beer. I didn't even think to ask about it since this is usually not available in Icelandic places :) It was low lit, and the music was not too loud to have a nice conversation. I had some apple pie with caramel on top, and I liked it very much, even though this is not generally my thing. I am allergic to certain seeds and I asked if the cake contained any seeds, and the woman immediately went and checked the contents for me. It is not often the staff at such places are so nice and inviting. The prices are really "normal", not the insanely high prices you see at other places. So this was a great added bonus. I highly recommend this place to anyone wanting a nice atmosphere and affordable drinks :)
