We had lunch in this restaurant on our first full day in Iceland. The sushi was fresh and delicious. As we were still getting used to the city, we found the service odd and a bit chilly. We figured out it's just the way Icelanders...More

On popping into the bar below Sushibarinn, we were told we could order lunch from upstairs as takeaway to eat downstairs. We had the surf & turf rolls and a sushi/sashimi combination platter to share as well as some edamame beans in salt & sesame...More

I lived in Tokyo for 5 years so I am very particular about my sushi. Sushibarin is very good. Super fresh, well made sushi of a high quality.

On our second night in Reykjavik, we just wanted a light meal. Sushibarinn was delicious, friendly staff and just right for a break from the often heavier meals we had during our stay.

Tasting platters are a great idea and loads of place offer them here in Reykjavik. They are often many courses though so make sure you're hungry first!!

Sushi for 2, and it was more than enough. Edamame beans poor quality and with too much salt. Rice OK, fish decent, staff is weird and lacks handcraftship.

The best sushiplace in reykjavik! You can ask the waiter to bring the sushi downstairs (to the pub) and enjoy a cold drink!
