Sushi for 2, and it was more than enough. Edamame beans poor quality and with too much salt. Rice OK, fish decent, staff is weird and lacks handcraftship.

The best sushiplace in reykjavik! You can ask the waiter to bring the sushi downstairs (to the pub) and enjoy a cold drink!

We were looking forward to sushi in Reykjavik because of all the fresh fish and seafood, however we happened upon this restaurant on a cold and windy night and were sorely disappointed. We first noticed the small space, but it's a sushi bar, so we stayed for the food. We ordered miso soup, a spicy tuna roll, and a magic... More

I stopped in to pick up some take-away sushi to bring back to my hotel. They had lots of options, but I decided on the Arctic char with lemon sushi, vegetarian roll and devil roll. The fish was incredibly fresh and the combinations were really interesting. In addition, the staff was super nice and efficient and made all of the... More

We just had the most delicious sushi at sushibarinn. Awesome vegan options. Already dreaming about the food, sad that we are leaving tomorrow and only discovered it today. They have a lunch special that was pretty good value for Reykjavik.

We can recommend this restaurant for its fresh seafood and the care that went into making the rolls. Unlike the majority of restaurants in Reykjavik, Sushibarinn tried to accommodate a diner with celiac disease. Other than one glitch with a sauce, they succeeded. The reason to eat here is the food. The arctic char was spectacular and the salmon sashimi... More

I visited this sushi 'restaurant' based on reviews but this is more like a tiny cafe with 1 table with 4 stools and a couple of stools in front the window. Only the salmon was gluten free, every other item in the menu contained gluten. There were only 2 of us but the young guy behind the counter took about... More

Yeah, they were right. I knew sushi would have to be good an island, but the locals pointed me to this place. So glad they did. I ordered the spicy tuna and the Dragon roll. Enjoyed every single bite and easily the best sushi I've ever had. I ate in the downstairs portion where people usually just pick up their... More

While I don't consider myself a sushi expert by any means, the salmon sashimi that we had here was undoubtedly the best I have ever tasted. Sushibarinn appears to be primarily a take out restaurant but there are. 8-10 chairs inside as well. Prices are consistent with other comparable places in town.

I should say bar and cafe. It seems that everyone here in iceland is into selling coffee. I had the 10 piece nigiri combo. Considering the costs of things here in Reykjavik I would say this restaurant offers decent value for money.
