I've been to Iceland 8 times and always stop here for at least 1 meal. Soup is great but I like the different skewers of fish they will season and broil for you. The take reservations for groups of 5 or more.

Small restaurant which was a welcome relief from the horizontal rain we'd had that day. We tried the lobster soup. It was tasty. I would go again if in the area.

Seafood restaurant by the old harbor in Reykjavik, Iceland. Founder was Kjartan Halldórsson who lived and served at the Seabaron until Elísabet, an employee who worked at the Seabaron with Kjartan with passion for a long time and helped him continue the business when it got busier every year, took over in his final days. They're unique grandfather/daughter friend relationship became a blooming business by the old harbor and more and more people wanted to come and try this old fishermans lobster soup that he swore to be the best in the world! Kjartan is remembered by anyone that was lucky enough to meet him and his spirit still lives at the Seabaron. The menu is the same as when he started it and we continue to serve fairly priced freshest Icelandic fish grilled on skewers and the worlds best lobster soup! P.S our beers are quite cheap and go very well with our delicious menu! Our soup and skewers are lactose and glucose free!
