The soup is made of langoustine but it is called a lobster in Iceland. Based on the traditional cooking and recipe. Something not to miss.

The most unassuming restaurant, but the most delicious meal that we had in Iceland. Our group ordered the Char, Halibut, Potatoes, Veggies, and the Lobster soup. Everything was scrumptious.

They are known for their lobster soup for good reason. In a town of very high prices, this is an amazing deal for such a high quality soup. The cozy seating on barrels and it’s harvor location are charming.

Must have seafood and a cool vibe! Located near the docks this was lots of fun and reasonably priced

Tried the lobster soup and grill halibut. The soup was so tasty and not too creamy. The grilled halibut was so fresh, no extra sauce needed, even though they do provide different kind of sauce.

It’s a small restaurant but it’s lovely. Their seating is limited so I do recommend going during not too peak hours. The two of us went around 6pm on a Sunday and it was fine but it was getting crowded as we were leaving. The...More

This restaurant has the best lobster soup I've ever had. Really outstanding. We also had some lovely fresh shrimps and clams. All delicious.

We really enjoyed our meal at the Sea Baron. Delicious langoustine soup - ‘one of the best soups I’ve eaten’ -declared my companion. Tasty, fresh grilled fish skewers in a cosy harbour side space. Expensive for anywhere else in the world but pretty good value...More

My friend and I really loved this place. Very fresh fish and great selection. If you want to experience Icelandic food, this is a great spot. Keep in mind that this is a fish market. The restaurant is small and it does smell like fish,...More

Our walking tour was cancelled at the last minute, so we decided to find the Sea Baron and have some lobster soup. It was a good decision! The soup was tasty (although the lobster was a little over-cooked and mushy for my taste), but with...More

Agree with Sara. Very rustic dining but the food is excellent. Yes family friendly and plenty of soft drink choices

This just means they don't take reservations for parties of fewer than four people. There were only two of us, and it was no problem.
