This place is down by the harbor, so it's away from the tourist center. You go through the front, order your food, and then get seating. Choices are limited to the fresh fish available that day, but that's exactly why you come to this place....More

After a road trip all along Iceland, we made a stop to Reykjavik before going back to France. The sea baron was recommanded on several tourist books and the comments on TripAdvisor was excellent. The fish was fresh and excellent, we tried several fish skewers...More

The best place to satisfy your seafood craving in Reykjavik with a reasonable price list and warm waiters.

Three of us visited our first day in Reykjavik after recommendation by a friend and weren't disappointed. We all had the lobster soup which was amazing. Contains coconut milk rather than dairy which was great for me. The fish kebabs also on the menu looked...More

I went there with my wife. Strongly recommend the lobster soup and the whale. Atmosphere is fantistic and it looks like in a real fisherman movie:). I enjoyed the experience

Great lobster soup and veggie kabobs. This place is always crowded. Seating upstairs around the beer cooler. Really good bread, and generous portions, served with the soup.

Delicious lobster soup and fresh fish kebabs. Seating is crowded, mostly tourists, but reasonable prices.

Stopped in here for a taste of the much-heard about Lobster Soup. My daughter had a bowl, which was accompanied by a yummy basket of bread. It's not a fancy place. You wait in line, order at the register, find a seat and wait to...More

Hi, is the restaurant open on 24th December? How long in advance would it be better to book a table for around 5 people? Thanks.

I'm not sure if they are open on the 24th or not. I don't think they take reservations it's very informal.
