We visited on New Years and enjoyed their 5 course dinner. They were very receptive and the price was average by Iceland standards. Located in a quieter area than the main shopping areas. We had the most amazing lamb tartare. Wow! Blew us away. The...More

I was staying at the Centrum Hotel(attached to the restaurant) and could not pass up the 20% off that the restaurant was offering to me as a hotel guest. I usually don't eat at hotel restaurants, but I read the reviews and had to give...More

The restaurant was next to my hotel. I had the lamb, recommended by the waitress, which was very nice indeed - as was the skyr dessert. The price was a bit steep from a mainland European perspective, but not exsessively so. Despite the fact that...More

The food at this restaurant is excellent. And the prices, though expensive by US standards, were far better than any equivalent restaurant in Reykjavik. We were so surprised that it was not more crowded. Perhaps because it is considered a hotel restaurant?

Google Hotel Centrum Reykjavik. The restaurant will be listed in the "About Us" tab. Select "Fjalakotturinn" and scroll down. There you will see their menu. I, personally, recommend the Lamb Feast.

Fjalakotturinn is located in the heart of Reykjavik. It is located on one of Reykjavik's oldest streets, Adalstraeti, in a newly renovated building, the oldest part of which was built in 1764. On each side of it, new buildings have been constructed in the likeness of their historic predecessors
