Absolutely worth stopping here. Before traveling to Iceland, I’ve seen the hot dogs from this stand featured on a few travel programs, but I thought it is just a hot dog. I am so glad I stopped here because the hot dog is very good...- in fact I stopped here multiple times during my stay in Iceland. This is a must in my opinion!More
When you’re coming to Iceland for the first time from the United States and the first thing you want to try is a Hot Dog that means something. The stories are true, the Icelandic Hot Dog is like nothing else. I am not exaggerating when...I say it is probably the best Hot Dog I’ve ever hadMore
The Icelandic hot dog is terrific! I had no idea. And what makes it so excellent is all the fixings. You must order it with everything. The crispy onions and brown mustard sauce turn a plain hot dog into a delectable meal. You must try...one while in Reykjavik. This is not your average hot dog!More
I was expecting long lines, but thanks to covid Iceland was a ghost town in May. Since I do enjoy hot dogs, and enjoy not wasting my time on overpriced food that doesn't fill you, this was the place for me. Do yourself a favor...and get a couple dogs to enjoy outside. I agree with many that the hot dog itself isn't that amazing, but I think the condiments make up for it. Get it with everything and I think you'll enjoy the experience. I've had a few dogs since coming home and just had to add crispy onions and the sauce that I brought back with me. Yummy.More
This is a Reyjkavick classic! Everything you've heard is true: Hot dogs made of beef, pork, and lamb, accompanied with special mustard, remoulade, ketchup, fried onions, and raw onions. (Be sure to get them with everything). We had a late lunch there on our first...day and somehow beat the crowds. Now I'm not a hot dog guy, but these were great. So much so that when we returned to Reykjavik, we stopped by there for our last dinner! It's fun. We never had to stand on line, but would gladly do so. A fun, authentic experience.More
