This was our lunch a few times. Cheap and you can eat so many! I sometimes liked it without the white sauce.

Can you really get excited about a hot dog? You can if you get one here! Tip: get the dog with EVERYTHING on it...and probably get two. They’re delicious!

This was best hot dog shop in Reykjavik but after they changed the bread I can not buy it. Now it is tasting like all other hot dog shops. Befor the bread was handmade in the old bakery in Reykjavik by Ingolfstorg.

Most famous, but is it the best? Well, I tried a couple of other spots around town as I really love hot dogs and have eaten them all over the world, and I would honestly say this spot does a great dog, but so did...More

This stand is on the side of the Radisson 1919 and is one of the more famous and busy hot dog stands in Reykjavik. The line is usually long but we stopped at an off hour and there were only 3 people on line. The...More

Delicious, hot, fast, and some more adjectives I can't think of right now. Oh, yeah, Cheap! In a land of $12 beers, a $4 hot dog is welcome. Outside seating, so be prepared for that.

Very nice hot dogs. One thing missing is that they dont have kókomjólk downtown and the queue is really long, but after the wait it is worth it!

I was told beef, pork & lamb by a local, not the shop. If it's a concern check with them.

Baejarins beztu pylsur (English: The best hot dog in town) often shortened to simply "Baejarins beztu", is a popular hot dog stand in central Reykjavik, Iceland. In August 2006, the British newspaper The Guardian selected Baejarins beztu as the best hot dog stand in Europe. The majority of Icelanders have eaten at Baejarins beztu. It's downtown near the harbor and has been open since 1937. Foreign visitors are often brought to the stand to introduce them to the hot dogs there, which are often called "the Icelandic national food." Among famous people who have eaten at Baejarins beztu are Bill Clinton, former president of the United States, and James Hetfield, vocalist of the popular heavy metal band Metallica. A hot dog condiments include ketchup, sweet mustard, fried onion, raw onion and remoladi, a mayonnaise-based sauce with sweet relish. Hot dogs are often ordered with "the works," i.E., All condiments, or in Icelandic "eina med ollu".
