We ate here our first night in Reykjavik. We were lucky enough to get a table without a reservation. We tried the Puffin and Minke Whale and Seafood Stew starter. Both were good. We like the Puffin more so than the whale. We ordered the Salted Cod and the Ling. They were very good. The Ling is a whitefish without... More

We stumbled upon this place after wandering around late, looking for an open venue for our evening meal. Luckily, a table for three was available after a short wait - and I'm so glad it was! The menu was pricey, to be sure, but not atypically so by Reykjavik standards. The room felt warm and comfortable, attractively furnished in wood... More

If you want a truly Nordic dining experience and are willing to splurge one night, this is the place to go. The food was artistic, inventive, and delicious. Our server was appropriately attentive and helpful -- offering suggestions but not judging. We chose the 6-course fixed price menu and each course was more wonderful than the last. It offered all... The restaurant itself is a cosy, warm place for a meal and the staff are friendly and welcoming. However, the place did not seem to be too busy and the waiting staff were occasionally idle, yet the service was incredibly slow. There was around a 45-minute wait after ordering and between courses. It also seemed that our main course had... More

Charming restaurant in the heart of Reyjavik on Skólavörðustígur right down the hill from Hallgrímskirkja church. Lamb was superb even though restaurant is advertised as seafood grill. I had a dinner with both lamb steak and lamb shank that was excellent. Friend had pasta with seafood that she raved about. Reservations a good idea.

We stopped here for lunch and it was great. The staff were all very friendly and welcoming, and the place just has a lovely feel to it. I had the juicy pasta with prawns and scallops and it tasted great. Plenty of prawns and scallops and well cooked with a generous pile of rocket and parmesan on top. My partner... More

We are a group of five on holiday in Iceland for seven days. Being our last night in Reykjavik we thought we would have a lovely meal out at a seemly high rated restaurant. We were so looking forward to this wonderful experience. After having a wonderful once in a life time experience along the south coast. We ordered a... More

Delicious food. I had lobster salad which was high clomps of lobster in a delicious green salad. The bread was awesome which surprised me. We went two days in a row for lunch. Everyone was friendly, however, if you choose to go there ask for "Stina" to be your waitress and ask her for her special drink. She is also... More

We made a trip here based on recommendation and we weren't disappointed. The food was lovely as was the atmosphere and the staff. It was all unbelievably fresh and had such a range of flavours on every plate. The 'light bites' were a full sized meal so don't expect a small portion! It was fantastic.

After visiting this restaurant, I am very surprised by the other reviews I have been reading here. The restaurant itself is nice enough, but the food was more than a little bit disappointing. We left feeling like we had fallen for a blatant tourist trap. Without going into too much detail, here is my summary of what we ordered: -... More
