Encountered this restaurant by chance and were impressed. We had lunch in a small outside area in the sunshine. My partner tried minke whale simply for the experience but not to be repeated (no reflection on the chef) followed by arctic char. I has smoked...More

The Fish Feast is an enjoyable and enormous meal. The fish soup is absolutely delicious. The grilled fish good; however the portion way to big for me, definitely "man-size". The white chocolate mouse was great with lots of flavours including fresh raspberries. The Gummi Lobster...More

We had a delicious dinner here, "catch of the day" (pollock) and Arctic char. Our service was very good, Location was perfect. And while it's expensive, I didn't find it more expensive than other nice places in Reykjavik, it's a pricy town.

My research on Icelandic food led me to all of the unappetizing things that might be eaten here but we've enjoyed the food. Sjavargrilled was definitely our favorite! The chef was creative in presentation and the flavors were amazing. The plates had wonderful, complex flavors....More

Typical of Reykjavik, the Seafood grill was expensive, but only if you think a bowl of soup with only a bite of fish for $27 is expensive or the fantastic grilled plaice fish with shrimp for $69 is expensive. Lobster salad at $41.00 was very...More

Out of the 3 nights we ate in Reykavik this was the only restaurant we left disappointed. The waiter was intolerant of us asking questions and pressured us into making a choice. To the point that the manager most of realized it and sent another...More

In 2010 a young chef from Húsavík, was awarded Chef of the year 2010 in Iceland. The young chef, Gústav spent months traveling around Iceland looking for the real taste of Iceland, along the way he found a few things that are key items of the interior of the restaurant.Take a look at our menu, it will be our pleasure to fire up the old grill when you honor us with a visit.
