It would be with coming just for the spectacular views! However, being able enjoy one of Reykjavik's best restaurant, at the iconic Harpa no less, makes for a wonderful experience. We were going to the Symphony, so booked an early table and ordered the concert menu. This included a smoked cod dish that was heavenly, followed by lamb, which was... More

I only had a bite of the lamb, since I usually avoid eating sheep. However, my husband said it was the best lamb he has ever eaten, it was the neck of the lamb. The sour cream ice cream was excellent.

This restaurant is at the top of the opera house, and is worth a visit just to admire the architecture...going at night is even better. We stopped here for desert as I wanted to look around. Sadly the desert was a scoop of average ice-cream, certainly not worth £20 a scoop!!! It was nice but nothing to rave about. The... More

On the upside the place had gorgeus views over the harbour. Best spot in the city really. If only the food had been as great. We had to wait a long time for the food and every single dish was bad. Eggplant appetizer was ugly, had no taste and we had to put plenty of salt and pepper on it.... More

We had diner here before the New Year's opera concert. I wasn't sure what to expect from the three-course concert menu. I had expected a fairly standard dining experience, but I was wrong. Each course was expertly prepared. The inventiveness of each dish was truly impressive. The chef combined tastes and textures in a really original and wholly successful way.... More

Went to Kolabrautin for a fancy New Years Party and got a 4 course vegan dinner. Each dish was more amazing than the next, grilled zuccini with truffles, purple cloves, roasted kale, broccolinis, strawberry ice cream ... Definitely one of the best meals that I've ever had.

We were there for lunch while we took in the fabulous Harpa Concert Hall. The service was efficient and quick. Staff were pleasant. We really enjoyed the food which had ingredients we hadn't seen before. Everything is pricey in Iceland, so it's one of those things it's hard to avoid.

Came here for a business dinner and it was a good location with great views and a good menu. Food was well prepared and presented and the choice of wines was good. Not expensive either.

Inside Reykjavik's Concert Hall, Kolabrautin offers magnificent views of the city and the harbor. The cuisine is tasteful and the wine catalog can cover every taste !!! the only negative is that in rush hour the staff is not enough so they are struggling to do their best and this is something notable.
