This little restaurant is tucked away just outside Reykjavík city centre and very close to the main swimming pool-Laugardalslaug and the Reykjavík City Hostel. It opened in 1979 and is still run by the same family today and is very popular with Icelanders and their family. There is no booking, you just turn up (opens at 5pm) and if a... More

Lunch for 5 excellent. Soup to start was outstanding. I had haddock & chips & salad. The haddock great, chips poor frozen jobs - a shame. But a great family owned restaurant, recommend.

I absolutely love this place, recommend the todays special and the lamb in béarnaise sauce! The restaurant is small but also very cozy. The food is homemade and it taste like the best grandma's food.

What a pleasure! We highly recommended this restaurant. Clean, warm, friendly, elegant and the most important the food is great! We were four together and we all order diffrent kind of fish. All were delicious, great taste and spices. Go there absolutely!

The fish courses tasted fine but were very buttery, heavy sauces & heavy stomach. The service and place is more a diner then a restaurant. Prices are though ok but overall experience not exciting.

Visited Laugaás for the first time in years. We dropped by on a Saturday evening, i had one of today´s dishes Plaice with creme sauce. It was delicious. Service was professional. Laugaás is a family run restaurant and my visit left me the feeling that i had dined at my mother´s place. Will return.

So we were looking for a restaurant we had seen. We had taken the bus and now decided to walk. So we happened upon this little place. Great food! Perfectly served. Delicious. Affordable.

After a short wait we were seated in this small but very cosy restaurant. It was very busy but we got our food quit fast. It was really good and I absolutely recommend this place. A little out of the centre of Reykjavik.

small and cozy. Main dishes come with a bowl of soup. When we went (august 2016) they just had changed the prices on the menu but not on their website that was disapointing as the total cos exeded my budget for the night.

Thank Eva W
