I had heard about this place but never been there until just before Christmas, while shopping. It is a self service place, where you order and wait for your food to be put on the plate. I just happened to be in the vicinity of the restaurant when I decided to check out what it offered. Boy was I pleasantly surprised! We tried this restaurant on the spur of the moment, after having walked past it a couple of times. It had some local reviews in the window, which were all good, and we agree! If you've spent any time in Reykjiavik, you'll quickly notice there's no Mcdonald's on every corner nor is there an abundance of inexpensive places to eat. I'm glad to say, I finally found one!
