Stopped in for breakfast and it was a perfect start to the day! Awesome food and coffee! Perfect relaxed place to eat. The staff was amazingly helpful guiding us and answering out questions about where to go and visit on our south Iceland tour day!...More

I had a cheese and mushroom crepe and lemon sorbet ice cream at Eldur and Is. I would rate crepe between average to good but the lemon ice cream is probably between average to poor. Nevertheless a nice place to hang out for simple dessert.

Quirky little ice cream parlour and cafe. Ordered a hot chocolate after a soft day on the golden circle. Buena vista social club lulling in the background I settled on a seriously smooth hot chocolate. Don't miss out on this little gem

Excellent crepes, very friendly service, and reasonable prices in central Reykjavik. We were happy to find them on a Sunday morning when not much else was open. Many inventive ice cream flavors too.

We stopped in for breakfast- they have a wonderful selection for savory crepes as well as sweet! The ham & cheddar was great & enough until dinner.

The portions of the Crepes they serve at Eldur & Is are hefty. The first time I went there, I had a sweet crepe (Nutella with strawberries and ice cream). It was 'out of this world' good. The second time, I had a savory organic...More

Right in the middle of town, this small, cosy creperie is worth a stop off. The crepes are not cheap but are gorgeous! The cafe has limited seating and also serves ice cream.

Breakfast, lunch and a treat. You name it and we made time for it. They do both sweet and savory gluten free crepes. If you struggle with gluten free, which can be managed in Reykjavik, but want non-Icelandic fare, this is an easy choice. We...More

I have been waiting to return to Eldur for a while and it lived up to expectations!! I have a savoury crepe with cheese artichokes, spinach & olives that was so flavoursome and nutritious that I then had to have another but sweet one. Best...More

Description
Our shop sells CREPES, COFFEES and ICE CREAMS, with the possibility to blend them together with the unique flavour of Eldur og is, that means ... fire and ice. From the crepe's menu you may choose sweet or savoury, organic spelt or VEGAN, LACTOSE and GLUTEN FREE. The menu is "free"! Basically you choose your own ingredients from the list. We suggest you to try it with ice cream too. The coffees and the teas that we use are selected and roasted from Tea & kaffi, leader in Iceland for quality coffees. Personally I suggest you to try the Affogato al caffé, that is the perfect blend of the typical Icelandic character ... fire and ice. For Icelanders when you say ice creams, they are thinking Kjoris! Traditional family business, two generations old of ice makers working constantly on the quality of products and production. We are using their ice creams as solo or with our knowledge of blend them with hot crepes or coffees, giving a characteristic flavor of ... Eldur og is. Then we have few more options on hot chocolates, milk shakes and blizzards. Soon or later we will enrich our list of HEALTHY products, but that is our near future. For now accept and enjoy our service and variety of products to satisfy young and happy-mature people.
