The restaurant is cosy, staff are very friendly. The menu offers plenty of choices for food and drinks. The lamb pulled shoulder and rump was just perfect with a good choice of vegetables on the side. Definitely one to repeat.

We hadn't booked but we were lucky enough to get a table, the food was absolutely outstanding - we shared a starter & dessert and had a main meal each with two drinks, so ended up at over £150.00 but really couldn't not fault the...food or the service.More
Came here for a final meal ahead of our flight home and it did not disappoint. The two staff working the service were absolutely delightful and took the time to explain alternative options to my wife who has a lactose allergy. Food was delivered at...a comfortable pace and allowed for a good flow of conversation and when it arrive it was simply excellent. Minus the expense of a bottle of wine we had 2 courses for just under £100 which is excellent value for the service and quality on offer. I must visit.More
A real find. Walked in after looking at the menu as we passed by. Lovely cosy decor and quite compact. We were lucky enough to grab the last available table. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable, were quick and efficient. I had a lovely...starter and fish of the day (Wolf fish) fo the main. All beautifully presented and very tasty. Total bill for two came to £99 which for Iceland pricing was pretty good. Highly recommended.More
Amazing food, one of the top 5 meals I have ever had. Vegan mushroom soup was also awesome. Keep bringing in more vegan options!
Lovely small restaurant on main shopping street. Nice environment and advisable to book as limited tables. We had the three course dinners with chosen wines for us. The fish soup was to die for 😊
Excellent food and excellent ambience. Food was delicious! One of the best mushroom soups I have ever had! Lamb was very tasty too.
This was the most amazing food we have ever tasted. Beautiful fish and lamb dishes, a lovely cozy atmosphere and very friendly staff. Would highly recommend.
The staff was rude and seemingly doesn’t like Americans (which may be a draw for some patrons). Despite the fact that there was an open table for four, the hostess refused to seat us- claiming the open table was taken, and told us to come...back a half hour later. We shouldn’t have, but we came back a half later and the table for four was still open. The hostess continued to refuse to seat us- even though there was an open table, and told us there was still a fifteen minute wait, at least. Clearly she didn’t want to seat us- either because we’re American or because we had teens. With so many amazing restaurants in Reykjavík, don’t waste your time.More
Exceptional food and cosy atmosphere. The set menu was superb and the staff were accommodating. Really quick service.
Wow what a refreshing light restful meal. I loved my choice and my partners choice fish of the day. We only did mains not because we didn’t want to try more, but our northern lights tour rescheduled to the same last night. I would more...than likely rebook in future as keen to try the options. Menu clearly marked Gluten Free. They were very prepared to accommodate change to fish of the day menu to make it gluten free, when selecting my options. Brilliant final evening mealMore
We were late and were glad to find this place was still open. The restaurant was little, and the atmosphere was very relaxed. But the food was the best of all, and very healthy too. Not very expensive. It was a very happy end of...a day travelling.More
Just had a beautiful meal at Old Iceland this evening. My fiancé and I had a fish and mushroom soup to start. For the main courses we had the lamb and the arctic char. Excellent portion sizes and beautifully presented and delicious. We were full...but thought we could just about manage a dessert each😁 and opted for two affogato. Excellent service and staff attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend this restaurant when visiting Reykjavik.More
Very lovely cod fish. Had starter and diner, cheese for starter and then cod with mash. Both very good dishes. Very busy restaurant so difficult to get a table.
This is a lovely cozy restaurant in the centre of the city. The staff are most welcoming and helpful with the menu. We chose the three courses fixed menu. I had the lamb, it was cooked to perfection and very tasty. My wife had the...cod, which was equally as good.More
