My student son's favorite coffee shop in Reykjavik, so we had to stop in while we were visiting. Food & Drink: The drinks were all good. Food was fine, though not spectacular. Service: Friendly but harried. Ambience: Nice two story building, a bit crowded, and...seating was tough to find for a party of four.More

Good food, good drinks! Busy so not always easy to find a table but even so, the service is quick! Everything was reasonably priced.

Great little shop with very reasonably priced drinks. While walking and touring the city be mindful of the ever changing weather conditions. It can get cold fast during a rain and windy. Great place to stop in and catchup on emails. B. Bowman CEO Camden...Loche IncMore

The great reviews for Kaffibrennslan led me straight here for an early lunch. The prices are fair for Iceland and I was hungry for carbs and something hot. The staff was efficient and friendly, and service was prompt. Inside, it was cozy and busy, but...not packed and I easily found a table. But, it was early for dinner. I chose the classic club and the chocolate cake. Wow, the sandwich was incredible; it was well toasted and packed with just the right amount of bacon. I could barely finish it. It came with a bag of chips which I saved for a rainy day. The chocolate cake came with whipped cream, which is different from the American version. It was lighter and not as sweet. The same for the cake; it wasn't as sweet. It was different but not in a bad way. Sometimes, I have to remind myself when I'm in Europe that sweets are less sweet than what I'm used to when I'm home. I would come back to try their other sandwiches and desserts.More

Found this spot our last evening in Reykjavich and so wish we’d found it sooner. We had decaf espresso drinks, which were outstanding (fanciest mocha I think I’ve ever had) and shared a piece of fantastic chocolate layer cake served with whipped cream on the...side. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy with plenty of space. There were games available and we ended up playing Backgammon. It wasn’t far from our hotel and I could easily have seen spending other evenings here if we’d found it earlier!More

Amazing find! You're spoiled for choice for cafes in Reykjavik, but this one appealed as it was a) busy, b) right in the middle of one of the main shopping streets, and c) 'Icelandic looking' from the outside! We had club sandwiches, which were of...ludicrous proportions (one would have easily done the job for two adults) and very very tasty. Beers and wines are on offer too, not just coffee, and the atmosphere is bustly but laid back. Great place!More

This was a fantastic find, we stopped for a quick lunch of ham and cheese toasties, beef, cheese and horseradish toasties and smoked salmon, cream cheese and caper bagel. Washed down with a gull larger. Lovely atmosphere with candles on the table, cosy decor and...the food was unbelievably good! I would highly recommend.More

We tried several coffee shops in the area and this was by far my favorite! Im not a huge coffee/tea drinker in general but I couldn't get enough of the Chai Latte! My husband wanted to eat the Breakfast Club every morning for breakfast!

Went into this place randomly and were very pleasantly surprised by our sandwiches. My toasted bagel sandwich had a perfect amount of crunchiness and was an extremely satisfying meal. The espressos were great too.
