We popped in for a coffee and cake early afternoon. Thd feel is almost Paris style bistro. Very friendly staff and food looked excellent. Quite big inside. Good coffee and central.

Great Service. The restaurant was pretty empty when visited around 2pm. It is located just off the main road, in the Downtown AreaPrices were pretty reasonable for Iceland. The food was delicious and they were able to cater tour dietary requirements. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Reykjavik.

Very busy place, great service and scrumptious open sandwiches. You can order the sandwiches in halves so you can choose a couple of different fillings or share between a few of you .

Jómfrúin (The Virgin) is a friendly restaurant specialising in open Danish sandwiches with a wide variety of toppings. The restaurant also offers Danish-style home-cooked dishes. On Saturday afternoons in the summer, there are jazz concerts on the outdoor patio area.

The Christmas plate was delicious. Service was slow. We waited 30 min. for our drinks and 45 min. for our food.

Went for Sunday lunch and were joined by many locals which is always a great sign. The open sandwiches are exceptionally fresh and made with excellent ingredients. Also try the hot dishes especially the pork with absolutely brilliant crackling which is not easy to do. It will take you at least 5 minutes by the way to read the extensive... More

After an afternoon walking around Reykjavic a group of locals recommended this restaurant. We were not disappointed. Definitely frequented by the locals. Good selection of competitively priced good quality foods, helpful and attentive staff.

The open-faced sandwiches at Jomfruin are bigger than their Danish counterparts, but equally inventive and tasty. Dessert was delicious as well.

We called here on our last day in Reykjavik - hadn't booked and although it was busy they managed to accommodate us. Food was amazing, great choice and staff were very attentive. Can highly recommend.
