Food was just ok to fill your hungry stomach; prices are average for this type of canteen, we had cheaper and quality food when travelling. Nice view from the canteen window. Free water to drink. Nice and helpful staff

There's a reason all the tour buses stop here. The food is great, the prices are fair, and the restaurant is within walking distance of one of the best beaches in Vik. Stop for a hot dog (or two!) and then walk to the beautiful black sand beach!

Food was ok. Nothing spectacular. Pricing was a bit high but that seems normal for iceland. Veggie Pita was tasty

Although the dining hall needs painful maintenance, the food is fine. This is, of course, a gas station grill but I can especially recommend No. 1 and 11 of the menu.

Stopped here for lunch one day while traveling the countryside. They handle crowds well as tour buses often stop here. Plenty of seating, very quick service. Fish and chips were decent, nothing to write home about. Other options include soups, sandwiches, burgers etc.

We ate in this restaurant attached to a service station to get a quick bite to eat for dinner. We quite unexpectedly had an incredible Icelandic fish stew and a traditional meatsoup. It could have been improved however by providing us with more bread to accompany the food. Interesting, the hot chocolate and coffee was not particularly great compared to... More

Vik is 2-3 hour drive from Reykjavik. You are likely to be hungry/thirsty by the time you get there. There are virtually no dining choices available - hotel restaurant was closed. The hamburger will set you back $12-16, but it was the most appealing item in the cafeteria style establishment. The food filled the belly, but not much else. Service... More

Our tour bus stopped here along with many others. The food was good - but the servers need to get it together. It took over 25 minutes to get our order because the ticket numbers were out of sync. I'm number 49 - yet they were calling 36, 42, 54, 58, and 62. Myself and a few other patrons were... More

We ordered tomato vegan soup and vegan burgers that were really one of the best we have ever eaten. The service was very quick, the staff was very friendly. The prices were reasonable. Pleasant atmosphere with a view. Very nice place to have a rest after long trips/hiking.
