We went for a work lunch and everyone had the schnitzel (different variations of) and at the end every plate was cleaned and no complaints. Service was really good and the place has some character. Small town good choice for food. I would go back...even though its 40 minutes out of Kitchener.More

A friend and I celebrated her birthday by going to Veky's on their first day open in Stage 3. The restaurant was spotless and the tables arranged to allow social distancing. This was my first time at this restaurant and I was thrilled with the...food. We shared a bruschetta appetizer followed by the Santa Fe Chicken Salad. Both of these were very tasty and appetizing to the eye. My friend had the Irish Potato Soup which was very thick and creamy and followed it with a raspberry parfait. She was a repeat customer but it was my first time and I certainly would go back. This is a great place to take company for a delicious meal at a reasonable cost.More

Wow....I ordered the chicken teriyaki, hubby ordered pork schnitzel. Both of us agree it is the best we have ever had. No joke. We opted for delivery....no regrets. Huge helpings, so flavourful, incredible service...this is our new go to restaurant.

I had had fish and chips for lunch at the Homestyle Diner in Waterloo, when, on the way home to Listowel, I got a text inviting my wife and me to dinner at Veky's in downtown Listowel. It was going to be a late dinner...so I said we should go. My wife thought I was nuts to even think about having fish and chips again, but I knew about my past fish and chip dinners at Veky's and I wanted to compare theirs with the lunch at Homestyle. Veky's was hands down the winner. Thick pieces of haddock and wonderful breading as usual. I won't be eating fish and chips for a while, but when I do it will be in Listowel not Waterloo.More

Cabbage rolls and stuffed peppers are only some of the great cuisine at Veky's. Always enjoy a great meal here.

My wife and I were traveling through Listowel and went on my trusty trip advisor app to find us a place to eat. Veky’s international Cuisine came in to view. We rolled the dice and hit lucky 7’s The food was very good with such...great flavours. My wife enjoyed the cabbage rolls. Filled mainly with meat, not your standard restaurant fare that are mainly rice. I strongly recommend the Rahm sauce on everything!!! I enjoyed the schnitzel with the mushroom rahm sauce so much I contemplated licking the napkin to get the last bits. Long story short, if your in beautiful Listowel make the time to visit Veky’s.More

Always a great meal there. Good schnitzel and Cabbage Rolls. i wish they would bring back more of the European specialties that used to be on the menu like Chevaps for example. My wife and i would order the platter for two quite often

As our third visit to this lovely niche eating establishment, we were once again very pleased with our experience. I had the soup of the day and it was a very decent size as well as filled with fresh ingredients. The atmosphere is home style...and very friendly. Quick seating and ample room make this a not to be missed restaurant experience if you are in or around Listowel.More

Hi, below is the link to the recipe we used as a starting point, but we did stray from the recipe and add our own spin on it. yummly. com/recipe/Creamy-Mexican-Chicken-and-Corn-Soup-9121237-
