The restaurant ambience is great. Service in general was good and courteous but a couple of foreign staff seemed to be in training a little edgy when taking the order and spilling as they poured water. As for the food - starters: ravioli was good...More

I would say that this place is suited for special moments - everything about it is special. Fantastic view and very nice decoration, excellent service and of course faultless food. Very tasty, nicely presented. Not cheap but classy. Highly recommended,

No idea, we went in May so it wasn't needed. It looked like the place that would have. There were lots of floor to ceiling windows

Probably a restaurant like that will definitely be, but you need to book like from next month while checking with them if they will open.

Description
Giannini is a family run restaurant since 1988 and is an excellent place to have lunch or dinner when visiting Valletta. The restaurant is situated above St. Michael's bastions with vast views of Manoel Island and the pretty Marsamxetto Harbour. The third floor of a typical Malta townhouse, reached by lift from the ground floor lounge bar, has been converted into a delightful restaurant. Giannini tends to be popular with locals for business lunches and romantic dinners giving it a casual but discreet atmosphere. The cuisine is a delicious blend of Mediterranean food. Fresh fish is available daily (ask the host) and you should also consider the daily specials on the board. The a la carte menu changes according to season. A rather comprehensive wine list is also available to complement the meal.
