Came for dinner with the kids and couldn't have been happier we found this place! Service was brilliant, relaxed and friendly, couldn't have asked for more. The food was excellent, with no menu and your fate in the hands of the friendliest staff around we...More

Disappointing, as due to the other reviews we were looking forward to sampling the full menu - in fact what we did try over 3 hours was ok but nowhere near the best meze food we experienced during our stay in Cyprus. Could have been...More

We saw and heard great reviews so we decided to give it a try. Outdoor seating area is very nice. We were aware that we would not have an idea of what the menu would, be so we were excited about what was to come....More

This is a very special place. Named after the number of St George Churches close by, it is run by George, a true character and his wonderful sons, one cooking and one looking after the customers. Here you will have only a non menu-d meze,...More

Read about this place in the Evening Standard in January, decided to surprise my wife to have lunch there. Just got back. Food is wonderful, and unless we are easily fooled, it is all homemade. I've not tasted dips like these in any other restaurant....More

What a find. It was a last minute decision to eat here rather than the hustle and bustle of the harbour, we walked over from our appt. we were asked did we book? To which I hadn't but luckily space was found and asked were...More

By far my favourite restaurant during our week in Cyprus. We had the wonderful meze which was just great. Everything delicious and grown/cured/dried by the owner. Go with friends to make the most of the meze mood. The meats just melt in your mouth. If...More

We visited St. George's tavern after reading all of the excellent reviews and the concept of being brought meze dishes without a menu sounded interesting. We received a warm welcome but unfortunately the evening went down hill from there. During just under 3 hours we...More

This taverna is absolutely well worth a try;) We made a reservation in advance and were warmly welcomed by Ben, son of the owner. He told us how their concept worked: no menu, just say stop when you are full. For three hours we ate...More

Incredible food and a great atmosphere! The food just kept coming until we couldn't eat any more! It was less than €50 between the two of us including wine!

We got a taxi for both trips to the restaurant, purely because we were tight for time and no other. If you google their website, you can download a route from where you are staying. I would suggest phoning to book a table on... More

It should be noticed that the establishment is a very traditional one, in more ways than appearance. It is an old building of stone and wood. The two dining rooms are decorated with antiques and items from the old household of rural Cyprus. The garden is very pleasant with flowers and herbs growing all around it. The food is traditional and seasonal. We cook everything that can grow in Cyprus, basing a lot of our food on traditional dishes, and wild vegetables, picked by ourselves. We serve Meze, which traditionally means delicate taste, and in Cyprus it is used to mean a variety of delicacies. A typical meze at the 7 St Georges will start with salad and between 6-10 appetizers, this will differ every night but may include, homegrown olives, cured meats, dips and pickles. The meze will continue with a variety of traditional and some times contemporary meat and vegetable dishes. We use only the best meats to provide mouthwatering roasts and succulent casseroles, you can expect to enjoy our now well known Kleftico (lamb or beef on the bone cooked in sealed ovens, succulent) and a vegetarians delight of vegetable dishes, depending on the season they will include, rice stuffed marrow flowers, bumyas (ochra) cooked in a tomato and mint sauce, black eyed beans with home grown marrow, tomato fritters, cheese and vegetable pies. The meze will be about 20 dishes, depending how much one can eat, expect to be surprised and delighted at the array of dishes that will be brought to you over the meal (expect to be eating for about 2 hours), at the 7 St Georges we serve quality food in an informal and comfortable setting, take your time and enjoy the experience.
