Intimate restaurant located in the heart of Linz. Tasty food and nice atmosphere! You can sit and watch Johannes, the chef, making your food, or you can find a cosy table downstairs in the next room. Fusion between Asian and Scandinavian dishes is a cool concept. I'll be back!

Had a really nice starter of scallops followed by a delicious salmon on plank. Will definitely go again as it's such an interesting menu and quirky little out of the way place. Only 3 very charming staff but it runs like clockwork. Very good and definitely worth a visit.

Visiting a dear friend in her home town Linz, I was surprised about this culinary delight. The combination of Scandinavian and - I call it - South-East Asian touches is worth a try. I had excellent fish that came with nice side dishes. The offer of beers from "Mühlviertel" is excellent, too. Try the darker ones!

Cook offers an exciting dining experience which we really wanted to enjoy in Linz. Fortunately we booked beforehand and even though initially we were only placed opposite the open kitchen there was room for us in the restaurant. The food is excellent and made a pleasant change from Austrian. Starters were great, crayfish on toast and gravalax both works of... More

There weren't so many options to choose from the foods, but I guess all of them are tasty (as mine was as well)! A small restaurant with few tables, but it's cozy.

We ate at Cook whilst on a family cycling holiday with our 12 year old son. All of us were very impressed with the great tasting and well presented food, in a very quirky and out of the way spot. Our son loved his chicken noodles - much better than Wagama! Suitable for older kids but maybe not really little... More

Rush to eat at Cook in Linz. We Have been cycling down the Danube and after a series of indifferent schnitzels and poor customer service , it was a simple delight to experience Cook Scandinavian fusion food and brilliant friendly service The first course of scallops with feta was genius and was complemented by a delicate but oh so,tasty salmon... Who could imagine a scandinavian-asian fusion restaurant in Austria? Its a brave concept, to put it mildly, but it works brilliantly. Except for the funny misunderstanding that Linje Aquavit is swedish, this was a marvellous meal. The aquavit is very much norwegian, and the voyage in barrels stowed abord a ship that crosses the Equator, is a patented norwegian concept.... More

Such a wonderful dining experience! Food was super fresh, simply prepared and very flavorful. You can sit in the small dining room or grab a table next to the kitchen to watch the chef prepare all of your food. Definitely worth a visit as a tourist or a local!

You walk in and immediately see the open kitchen on your left. We were greeted by the very friendly chef and head server and seated in the upper part of the restaurant, where you can see the cooking happen. The menu is always changing, but we really enjoyed the venison dish (Bambi killed by Fritz) and the MUNCH: DER SKREI... More
