Quality ingredients. Superb preparation. Outstanding service. If you're looking for a great meal in a traditional setting then go no further than the Gasthaus Stainzerbauer. A terrific wine list and great local food all centrally located just 1 minute from glockenspiel and three minutes from Jakominiplatz. A very professional and knowledgeable team. I can't fault it.

Main course was pritty average. schnitzel was nothing special and the vegetable meal was kind of sad. I had a chickpeas which was... More

Excellent food, great service, period setting. Slightly outside the main tourist area, but a popular location, so be sure to reserve in advance

I was here for lunch three times already (spread over some years), was very good each time, also very central in the city.

The delicious Styrian meal in a picture perfect atmosphere that we enjoyed at Stainzerbauer would have been a stellar in itself. But the fact that we dined here after a miserable experience the night before at a different restaurant mistakenly recommended as excellent made us appreciate the delicious food and attentive service even more. Just a previous reviewers have said,... More

I can only echo what others have said: a phenomenal ambiance with food and service to match. Great food and wine.

Not a bad restaurant, but a bit bland and rather touristy. The service was friendly and the menu has a wide range of traditional Austrian fare.

I reserved a table in order to take American guests out to a lovely restaurant in the old city of Graz. Everything was perfect, I was able to do the reservation online, we got a table in the part of the restaurant we requested and I was sent an English menu as a pdf in advance. We all greatly enjoyed... More

Each time I travel to Graz visiting with foreign customers I try to eat at this restaurant, if for a business dinner reservations are a must. The place has the typical Styrian atmosphere, the food outstanding and the wines also a perfect match. Always coming back and truly enjoy

This is a backstreet restaurant with its main dining area - in the summer at least - under canopies in an enclosed courtyard. We went at the recommendation of our hotel and liked it so much we went back on our last night. Most of the dishes are traditional to the area, but they are prepared and served very much... More
