Just good for beer. Food was cold and hard to eat. Price was not good for that kind of food. I tried pork meet.

Our first stop in Salzburg was at this special beer hall. Saturday afternoon after 15:00 was buzzing. The atmosphere and setting was unbelievable. The beer is delicious and a good assortment of local pub food if hungry. Note: You need to bring euros since they do not take credit cards.

Do go here to experience amazing brew. The food is decent. The outdoor eating gives the feel of communal dining

A surreal experience, drinking steins of beer in an old convent. Popular with tourists and locals alike. Join the crowd, sitting at shared tables with a selection of food stalls offering Austrian fare to soak up the alcohol. A must if in the area. Looks like they have an extensive outdoor beer garden in the summer months. Enjoy!

Had no idea what to expect! Pleasantly surprised to walk in and find a lively beer hall! You choose your beer stein, wash it, pay, then take it to be filled. Plenty of places inside to grab a bite. Find a table and enjoy!!!

If you're into bier halls and "gemütlichkeit," this is your place. Augustiner doesn't open until 2:30 pm so don't plan on lunch here. Grab a stein, wash it out, pay the lady for what you want (2 selections when we went) and have the beer guy pull a bier vom fass (on tap) from a wooden keg. There are four... More

The food was ok, staff ok, I think because we enjoyed Munich so much that this would be the same. Menu different to include Goulash which was good.

My husband and I visited during a weekend stay in Austria. It was the most amazing and craziest experience ever. We hadn't got a clue what to do so follow suit. Beer was great, amazing food stalls and the friendliest atmosphere ever. Totally recommend a visit here.

This brewery not only has excellent beer, but really has a unique style. The brewery is in a monastery. Unlike other beer places, you can order food from various vendors in stalls outside the beer hall and then pick up your beer. The way it works: you grab the size beer you want from the shelf on the wall. Rinse... More
