I have loved the German/Austrian food. Have yet to have a bad meal. However, the service has often been ver cold and indifferent. This restaurant set the standard high in both food quality and service. Go visit if you have the chance.

This little gem is tucked away on a side street but still very easy to find. The menu changes daily with what produce is in season and what meats they are able to procure. They were happy to translate the menu for us so we...More

We visited 'Die Wilderin' because of the good reviews on Tripadvisor. Normally we aren't disappointed when we follow the average of these reviews, but now we are somewhat puzzled. Very important, the food looked very good and there was a nice wine list with a...More

Just one night in Innsbruck and a friend and I had a wonderful meal at this lovely modern restaurant. Locally sourced seasonal food are their specialty. Everything was tasty. Reasonably priced too.

Description
die Wilderin offers modern and yet traditional alpine cuisine. All produce used is sourced directly at local farmers and producers in adherence with seasonal offerings - only what is available at any given moment in time will find its way into die Wilderin's kitchen and onto the plates. Animals are bought as a whole and used that way - meaning, whatever a whole animal can offer on different cuts will be offered. No more, no less. die Wilderin's team is by no means perfect but we are all trying hard, love our jobs and hope our guests take the plunge with us - it's a hell of a ride.
