Very popular restaurant, we went early and all tables were prebooked but they managed to squeeze us in at the bar. Enjoyed so much booked for the following day. Owner translated the small menu for us, be prepared for adventurous and exciting food. This is not a steak and chips restaurant!. Service excellent, friendly staff. Reasonably priced Highly recommended

I give Wilderin a four because the owner was so enthusiastic, the staff was overall friendly and the menu was adventurous. This is a snout to tail restaurant using local ingredients and foraged ingredients. That's good but the night we were there, horse meat was featured in two of the entrees. Nothing in the description in the native language let... More

Off the main street in old town, this small eatery makes an effort to use traditional ingredients in a less traditional way. The staff are enthusiastic foodies genuinely interested in patrons' opinions.

After rave reviews and calling ahead for a reservation was disappointed with the food. Service was impeccable and friendly, very knowledgeable. I like the fact that the owner was so passionate about the ingredients, but, unfortunately, the meal was average. The first of the season tomato salad was good, but nothing special. Cannot remember what we had for mains because... More

We had a very good dinner. The staff was super nice. The menu is not various so be ready to try new and special things. The menu was only in Dutch but the waiter helped us understand everything.

After reading previous trip advisor comments we decided to email to see if we could reserve a table for that evening on our way to Innsbruck. We received a rapid reply and when we arrived they knew who we were immediately and were greeted like old friends! Our waitress helpfully translated the whole menu to us which was all locally... We ordered and sat there for 55 minutes with a beer. Only to know that my t-bone had vanished and there was no other left. Decided to leave and eat anywhere else.

Excellent regional, fresh and uncomplicated cuisine. Interesting interior and very friendly and uncomplicated service. Very good selection of Austrian wines. A bit loud.

We were for two nights in Innsbruck and went to this restaurant on the first night but it was fully booked. The second night it was also full but we managed to get seats at the bar, which later were changed to a table. The menu does need a bit explanation but offers a very nice variety of dishes. The... I've only eaten here once but have been in a couple of times just for a drink. I love that the menu changes daily depending on what produce the chefs can get. You definitely know it's fresh! Service is professional and friendly at the same time. There's a good wine menu, some great gins and various schnapps, although I hope... More

Description
die Wilderin offers modern and yet traditional alpine cuisine. All produce used is sourced directly at local farmers and producers in adherence with seasonal offerings - only what is available at any given moment in time will find its way into die Wilderin's kitchen and onto the plates. Animals are bought as a whole and used that way - meaning, whatever a whole animal can offer on different cuts will be offered. No more, no less. die Wilderin's team is by no means perfect but we are all trying hard, love our jobs and hope our guests take the plunge with us - it's a hell of a ride.
