First I'd like to say to like this place you just have to have an understanding for Viennese Coffee Culture. Viennese people are known to be little rude and just NOT the most butterfly flying out of your rainbow breath sort of guys, so if you think the service will act overacting nice like you are used to in American... Like its name says, it's a small cafe :) The interior is pretty basic and worn out, but it has such a charm to it. It's very atmospheric and friendly, and the gentleman behind the bar is absolutely lovely. Very laid back and pleasant to spend time in.

Went today and managed to get a table in the sun. Great service simple menu with sandwiches, salads and sausages! Lovely wine selection and aperol spritz worth sampling!

Location is great: Quiet place out of the touristic area. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing - there was more tea on the saucer than in the cup when the waiter arrived. Reasonable prices.

Just don't miss it. Authentic Viennese atmosphere, cool service, friendly staff and great blaufrnakisch (red wine, first time I tasted it). A perfect tiny haven in the heart of this glorious city.

So cute! Very friendly staff. And very friendly prices. Smoking inside allowed, so if you don't like that, don't go there. But it's so small, it'll be busy anyway.

Visited this teeny weeny little bar in February. I first spotted it in December when I was in Vienna but it was full. I am so glad I got in this time. Full of locals and a very easy vibe. Plus you can smoke in there if smoking is your thing. It's been part of the Viennese cafe/bar scene for... More

I love love love this cafe. Every time I come to Vienna, this place is my Mecca. Although it gets v busy during the night and late afternoons but it is worth the visit. The waiters are very welcoming. Locals are so humble and they would always talk to you. Listen to great music, absorb the ambience. This is one... More

Casual, Local, Smoky, Chatty Space. Super low-key. A great place to just hang, indoors or out. It's great to have a place to grab a casual bite, a beer or a coffee without being rushed or overrun by tourists. If you're in the nabe, do stop-in

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
