We found this place by accident one evening seeking and liked it. The tables are well spaced and comfortable and the service welcoming. despite its apparent formality it is actually very laid back - so laid back that when we went several items on the...More

In a very nice building - they say it is one of the oldest restaurant in Vienna and the oldest in Grinzing - there is an open garden - a beergarten- don't confuse with the past names of the restaurant

I absolutely love everything about this place. Great atmosphere, perfect service, amazing food. I have been coming here since 2013 and it keeps getting better. We come here and dine, drink, laugh for hours. Field blend red is their house wine and it’s fantastic. You...More

Went in on the off chance just for tea & cakes - my goodness - a fabulous place. Went upstairs - really quite amazing - heavily decorated ceilings etc - and quite luxurious. But then went up to the next floor - the restaurant -...More

The garden of the restaurant is really nice, as well the inside, the food was good, but nothing special. The staff was not too friendly, and dont speak english! The feeling outside is awesome!

While Grinzing may be known for boisterous crowds of tourists inebriated by the heady new wine, the real "Heurige" experience is low-key: you bring a picnic, or order a meal, and taste the local wine in a quiet garden. This is the place for such...More

We eat at the Gerstners Landhaus on a Sunday evening. We chose to go there as a trip out of Vienna, after discovering that some City Centre restaurants close on Sunday (online same day booking was possible). What a good choice! Grinzing is a very...More

Great food, great atmosphere, but while service was nice it yet lacked friendliness and warmth. Found Mold on dessert we took home!

Vienna’s poshest green leafy suburb is also its most
romantic hotspot. Walk up Grinzinger Strasse with its
many historic wine taverns. The tops of nearby
Nussberg and Reisenberg hills make for great strolls
through the vineyards, and the occasional discovery of
a hidden winery. Popular local weekend hangouts are
Neustift am Walde with even more great wine taverns,
and café restaurant Cobenzl, up on Cobenzl hill –
