The food we got came in very big portions, the soup was fairly unimpressive, the mains were very tasty, the restaurant itself had a really nice atmosphere, very traditional. the service was excellent. the white chocolate stuffed profiteroles was a winner. good for traditional food. I would recommend this little joint.

This was recommended by someone who's lived here for many years. The food was good, the decor is lovely, and the staff were super friendly, a rarity in Viennese restaurants where most waiters are just plain rude! One of the few places we left a tip willingly.

We felt genuinely welcome at the Ofenloch. The restaurant gave an authentic Austrian impression without falling in the ridiculously touristic trap (the made in China coco clock type) and the staff was very sympathetic and attentive. The food was incredibly tasty and also felt genuinely Austrian. Our waiter even selected a red Austrian wine for us that went really well... More

but I need to be perfectly honest. We were looking forward to this traditional Viennese meal and had researched many restaurants of this type. It's a great looking place with plenty of character and we did have really nice Schnitzel but we also wanted beef. The staff recommended to us that we try the Beiried Giradi , and we were... More

This is a very elegant pub that serves all the traditional dishes but in a very gourmet way. Great place to relax and enjoy the local food. Not too many tourist it is a mix of family, business and tourism. The pub is beautiful with dark panel walls. Service was very friendly and helpful.

Our hotel booked this for us as the restaurant that was recommended was full. How glad we were!! Service was very good with a well written English language menu available. Our gluten free needs were fully understood and catered for. The food was wonderful and the prices very reasonable €160 for 4 including several drinks for all. Booking is a... More

We stumbled on this restaurant one afternoon; they were so welcoming and the beetroot soup so divine we went back a couple of days later for dinner. Not disappointed; the service was excellent as rated elsewhere and the menu and surroundings were traditionally Austrian but the food was prepared and presented with a modern twist. We can heartily recommend.

We came across this restaurant because of its proximity to our hotel. I ordered the Weiner Schnitzel and potato salad, which was delicious as well as traditional. My wife ordered the beet soup and broccoli dumplings which were also delicious. We recommend this restaurant for the traditional dishes and ambiance.

In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
