Opposite the opera house. Easy to find due to the bright green exterior. Upstairs is has a lounge atmosphere. Service is excellent. Menu is cake and coffee, or wine and light meals. Not a place to rush things. Downstairs has an excellent shop for cake,...More

A good traditional cafe on the main shopping street. We stopped here on Saturday morning for a coffee and cake. The seating area upstairs was large and nicely busy rather than heavingly full. The decor was slightly old fashioned which gave it some charm. The...More

that's a nice place to sweeten long walks in city center. Surprisingly, it was not at all crowdy. I've liked the ambience too. Desserts are tasty, a lot tastier comparing to some other, more advertised cafes. My cherry strudel was very good. Service friendly. Coffee...More

Classic Austrian cafe. Not nearly as busy or touristy as others. Though not quiet. I even spotted a few locals! Cake was very nice and service excellent. Not as pretty inside as others. Location on main shopping street could not be faulted.

We took two different cakes. One of them was dry but the other one was delicious. You should never get a dry cake in a café. Unfortunately staff was not friendly at all.

We decided to take some cakes to eat home and wanted to try another place than Sacher (which was amazing and really loved the very beautiful and friendly place itself). We took the apricot strudel, a Gestner cake, and another one with chocolate and nut....More
