Since I moved to Vienna, and I'm Italian, it's by far the best pizza I had! Good ingredients, well cooked and good service, I'll definitely come again.

Came here on a Sunday night as a result of the TripAdvisor reviews, it was dead and we spent less than 45 minutes here, but the pizza was to die for!!! Genuinely one of the best I've ever had - the Italian chef took our order from the wide range on offer (the menu was like a book), promptly made... More

Dinner was fantastic, the food was excellent and the services was of a high standard with the waitress being attentive but not over bearing. Prices were reasonable and the setting pleasant. Highly Recommended.

This is one of the best pizzeria I have been in Vienna so far. A bit pricey but totally worth it. Pizza Sasso Doro is a must to try.

I am visiting Vienna with my girlfriend for a few days and stumbled by this restaurant, which is close to the trainstation. I was really suprised how good the pizza was, which as good as the one I had in Napoli. I shared some antipasti and had a bite from my girlfriends fish, which was also excellent. Shared even a... We got off the train after a long day of site seeing and Sasso D' Oro turned out to be the best part the day. The food is authentic Italian fare created by the owner himself, a true Italian Master Chef. He clearly enjoys pleasing his guests through sharing his talent and love of Italian cuisine. The pizza kitchen is... More

A random stop. Pasta and pizza served lightning quick. Very enjoyable with decent portions and good quality at a reasonable price. Not somewhere for a special occasion but very suitable for a holiday meal.

We were staying in the Hotel Mozart opposite and ate here every night of the fortnight we stayed. We had first discovered this restaurant 5 years ago when we stayed in Vienna also for a fortnight and had also ended up eating here nightly. There is a good range of Italian food and especially enjoyed the lemon chicken. The staff... More

Staying in Serviten Quarter

Neighbourhood Profile
Serviten Quarter
The Serviten Quarter is an inner city neighbourhood with many private charms. Popular with French and American expats, Sigmund Freud’s neighbourhood boasts his former practice and apartments, now turned into a museum. Stunning Liechtenstein Garden Palace houses the private art collection of Prince Adam of Liechtenstein. Romantic Strudlhofstiege close to the palace is a fantastic photo spot. With their small independent shops and eateries, the main streets of Liechtensteinstrasse, Porzellangasse and Servitengasse reveal much of this area’s character. Peek into baroque Serviten Church, with its richly decorated dome and walls. At the Old Jewish cemetery in Seegasse you can see one of the most precious cemeteries in Europe with tombstones almost 500 years old.
