Stopped here after visiting the Hofburg complex. Was very busy but found somewhere to sit. Had an icecream sundae which was welcome on a very hot day. The homemade ice tea was also very good.

The Habsburg dynasty began to reside in the imperial palace from the 13th century onwards until 1918. During this period the palace was the main centre of power of the empire.
