On a wet morning in Vienna, we decided to visit the Sky Bar at the top of Steffl department store. When we entered the cafe, we noticed a very very large selection of wines and thought it was an ideal way to spend a dismal morning. The views that day were not good, but we can imagine that on a... I visited this place in April with friends. As the weather was really nice we were wearing thin leather jackets and denim jackets. Entering the place we did not notice that there was a cloak room (and for God´s sake it was April with around 20 celsius). We were about to ask for a table when a guy (security or... More

It's almost hidden place, but worth going. Located on the top floor of Steffl Department Store, it has a nice bar and aside of it a restaurant with large windows and a porch of great panoramic view of the city. The food is great and the service is fine. The atmosphere is good and pleasant for all guests, including children.... More

Many of the previous reviews discounted this restaurant, but my wife and I are pretty particular and we found this spot to be quite good (if not a little tiny bit expensive for what it was). Food: Very good; no problems at all. Service: Very good and helpful. Atmosphere: A bit upscale and we were there when 2 large groups... More

On the 7th floor you can enjoy the nice view of the Stephansdom, that's the real good thing. I had a glass of sparkling white wine which was ok, but the smoothies aren't good at all! Instead of using only fresh fruit, they mix a lot of crushed ice cubes in the smoothies! Not good at all, but cost effective!... More

We arrived to a busy but airy Sky bar. We were seated near the bar on 'high chairs', which helped us see the view. This was a short visit. We had a beer and a glass of Gruner Vetliner. We were then trying to get our bill, and none of the staff were paying attention to us. When we finally... More

I am only giving this 3 stars because the sights from so high up were just something to behold. But the service was absolutely horrible. I was truly taken aback at how rude the staff was. Sad really.

I came here accidentally whilst shopping and decided to have lunch. It's not cheap but nor is it extremely expensive. I asked for a better table in the second room. The risotto was nice as was the wine. Also tried an oyster. Service seemed confused, something isn't right with wait staff, they are either friendly and confused or professional but... More

I was out with close friends one night in Stephansplatz and we decided to have dinner somewhere in the centre. One of my friends, a Vienna native suggested Sky Bar and Restaurant because it's nearby and it's got a nice view of the city. Made a quick call to place reservations and roughly 30 minutes after that, we arrived at... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
