I am from Vienna and I've lived in the sixth district for a long time, in fact just across from Nam Nam. I used to go there regularly when they first opened a couple of years ago. I liked the food and the place; but this time I had a very disappointing experience. I am living in a different part... More

Have not been there for a while. I noticed the white porcellain and the austrianized dishes. Samosas and Veg Pakora all soft, no crust, taste so so. Asked for spicy butter chicken, got an all creamy, non spicy dish. But service still very friendly.

This place makes great Indian food. The portion sizes are just right. We had Biryani which was well prepared. The people workig here are Indians and offer service with a smile. There is a garden behind the restaurant which they have seating area in. When the weather is nice, I would highly recommend eating there.

When this place opened, some reviewers were very enthusiastic about the authenticity of the food. Well, I can't quite see that right now. It's a nice place, friendly staff and a lovely garden. The food is good, too. It's just that it's Austrian Indian. Many dishes are very creamy (that is: cream is used), even where you wouldn't expect it.... More

This place's biggest plus is the garden. the restaurant was empty & garden full. However, I did get some mosquito bites outside wearing shorts so bring your repellent if they like you..the beer was good, food was just ok. ppl sit and drink outside & vibe is nice although a few smoked..Plus - there is an awesome playground a few... I had the opportunity to visit Nam Nam this summer. The food is delicious and the staff friendly. It's a nice place to have authentic Indian food in Vienna.

Neighbourhood Profile
Vienna’s sixth district hosts high street shopping heaven and pedestrian area Mariahilfer Strasse. The weirdest local building is probably the city aquarium Haus des Meeres, housed in one of Vienna’s six remaining World War II defense towers, and topped with a rooftop bar that offers stunning views over Vienna and the centre. One of the most historic sites in the area is the passageway of 18th century Raimundhof with its small shops and cafés. It leads from Mariahilfer Strasse to Windmühlgasse. For a glimpse into the world of early 19th century theater, visit Semperdepot, the former depository for theatre decoration, which now hosts art exhibitions and fairs.
