We really love their vienner schnitzel and variety canapes. It is located on the large schopping street in the center of Vienna so each time there we stopped for some tasty refreshments.

We've been visiting Duran Mariahilferstrasse for years. It is a simple place to eat but the Wienerschnitzel is excellent (pork or turkey) and Kartoffelsalat is the best here from many Durans. They have cheap prices. Great place to eat quickly. Sandwiches are great too.

We tried this in stead of our old standby Trzesniewski's which have a shop in the same area. While the food was okay and the portions a good size we were disappointed overall.

But still,... More

Cheap and delicious sandwiches! It is also in a populated area in which I was expected to find only expensive places.

This is a world-class sandwich/snack shop. Duran serves an assortment of open-faced sandwiches. Ranging from 1.40 to 2.50 euros per sandwich, it is tough not to try 6 different kinds. This is great for breakfast, with many different combinations of tuna, egg, lox, cream-cheese, etc. Also great for lunch or for an afternoon/evening snack, with salami, shrimp, and other protein... As others have mentioned, we were also enticed to enter by the appetising display in the window. The open face sandwiches are reasonably priced at around EUR1.60 each. We each chose a couple and sat down. Not only were they nicely presented but they really were very tasty. The one with wurst salad reminded me of the Vanhas Meat Salad... More
