The most important thing in this cafe is its history and interiors. And of course coffee and desserts. I tried a branded dessert and can confirm that it is divine! you can see it on photo enclosed.

Though a tourist trap, they did provide exceptional cakes and pastries in a lovely surrounding. I booked in advance to avoid the long queue from tourists.

If you are a fan of almond croissants you must fly all the way to this city and ravish them. They are the best. The selection of Austrian coffees is impressive. The assortment of pastries is more than one can bear.

This was the meeting place for the city's intellectuals in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. It is very ornately decorated. Formal wait staff. White table cloth restaurant. Wonderful desserts - had chocolate cake to die for.

Description
This famous traditional café with its 130 year history was first opened in 1876 and at the turn of the 20th century it was a popular meeting point for leading lights in the world of art, literature, politics and science such as Arthur Schnitzler, Sigmund Freud, Peter Altenberg and Leo Trotzki. Then, like today, the legendary literature café was a meeting point for all ages, regular guests, Viennese locals and visitors. Unique architecture combined with the best coffee specialities, classic Viennese cuisine and finest home-made pastries make every visit a special experience. Daily Live Piano Music from 5pm on! Reservations are strongly recommended to avoid waiting time - upon availability. Many thanks in advance for your understanding!
