Perfect place to dinner even late in the evening, after opera evenings it can be very crowded. Excellent food, top service, piano live music. For me the Rote Bar at Sacher remains one of the oldest and most traditional high class restaurants in Vienna, and...More

I used their web site. I speak a little German so it was OK . It wasn't difficult. It's not cheap and since it's a bit special, there's no point in skimping. Reckon on 100 euros each. Money well spent!

My Fiancée & I went from the Opera House to the Rote Bar just this weekend after a performance. It takes only a few moments once you leave, just walk to the back of the Opera House and cross the road and your right there.

Description
Enjoy traditional Viennese specialities in this elegant and stylish restaurant. You can either sit in the black and white floor-tiled glass conservatory facing the Opera House or in the grand, dark red damask dining room with large oil paintings and crystal chandeliers. The windows of the conservatory are folded away in summer to make a large open terrace. Live piano music in the evenings adds to the ambience.
