The service was really good and the food was great as well. Wiener Schnitzel and Steak tartar are highly recommended.

We went to this place for lunch, the terrace was full and we ate inside. The decor was splendid. The service was good, but nothing to remember. The food was excellent, the veal escalope, which is not the Wiener Schnitzel was very good and well presented. The people next to our table ordered the Wiener Schnitzel which appeared to be... More

We were in Vienna on a holiday so many of the better restaurants were closed. This one was across the street from our hotel so we gave it a try and were very pleased with our dinners. We had the Wiener Schnitzel, veal like it should be not pork, and the traditional dessert, Kaiserschmarm. Excellent food, good service, reasonable prices.

Great Viennese cuisine with good, attentive service. However, the tables are a little close together making for a rather crowded atmosphere. Not a relaxing experience. Booking essential most days.

and we have eaten many. Very friendly service, our waiter gave great advice which was spot on. We had delicious meat broth with vegetables, followed by the lightest, crispiest Schnitzel, accompanied by delicious potato salad. The portion looks huge, but the meat is wafer thin and when it's gone, you almost want more, it was that good. Would award 5... More

Tafelspitz was very good with high quality beef and tasty accompaniments. One of the better places to try this traditional Austrian dish. However it was a cool May evening and we were offered a table away from the outside heaters despite the fact that we had booked; others who had no booking turned up afterwards and were given prime position... This is the place to come to for traditional schnitzels. Located in a quiet side street very close to the Opera it has friendly and light interior and an covered outdoor serving area too. The schnitzels are huge, crisp and very tasty. You even get a how-to-guide for doing itself back home.

Inner City
In Vienna's best-known district, pedestrian boulevards Kärntner Strasse and Graben connect you with landmarks such as the Wiener Staatsoper (Vienna State Opera), Vienna’s iconic Stephansdom (St. Stephen’s Cathedral) and the vast compound of Hofburg, the Habsburgs’ former Imperial Palace. Peek down side streets such as Annagasse and Weihburggasse, and Graben’s Seilergasse and Habsburggasse, to get a feel for the centre. The Imperial Apartments and the refreshingly demystifying Sissi Museum are must-dos at Hofburg. Spacious squares such as Am Hof and Freyung often host beautiful seasonal and antiques markets.
